Zhenzhen is sent to live with a wealthy family, becoming the young masters' little brother in name only.

His three older brothers have wildly different, hard-to-read personalities. Zhenzhen cautiously tries to get by, always being obedient and keeping to the rules.

The eldest brother is seven years older, imposing and extremely strict.

He finds time even in the middle of a busy day to check Zhenzhen's homework, guiding his small hand with his own large one and not letting him leave until he finishes. But when Zhenzhen is sick, he holds him on his lap and silently, attentively feeds him porridge.

Zhenzhen respects and fears him, kept within his brother's domain and subject to both rewards and punishments.

The second brother is gentle and dependable, always shielding him from everything, teasing him and making him happy. He holds Zhenzhen on his lap and asks again and again, “Second Brother treats you the best, doesn't he, baby?”

The third brother is domineering and capricious. He likes pinching the soft flesh of Zhenzhen's cheeks and threatening him not to date too young, in exchange for the privilege of looking out for him at school.

Zhenzhen blinks his tearful eyes, angry but not daring to say a word.

His brother keeps a stern face and says, “Don't try to be cute,” then turns around and hands him his favorite ice cream.

Before he knows it, under the three brothers' all-encompassing care, Zhenzhen grows more and more spoiled, becoming a sweet little good-for-nothing.

In his innocent confusion, he thinks being kept by his brothers might not be so bad?

Then, after he grows up, his well-traveled mother returns and tells him that he was promised in marriage to the Pei family as a child, and he can choose any one of his three brothers.

In an instant, the peaceful facade shatters.

The eldest brother loses control in a way he never has before. “The eldest brother should have been promised first, so you can only be my wife.”

The second brother's gentle tone becomes the sharpest of blades:

“Baby, I've been so good to you... How can you look at anyone else? Your dependence on me, your habits, I raised them all, little by little. Isn't it too late to run away now?”

The untamable third brother simply throws him over his shoulder, roguish and ruthless:

“Was all that looking out for you for nothing? Come with me.”

Zhenzhen's eyelashes tremble with fright, his legs going weak.

He only wanted to be a quiet little hermit crab. Why have his brothers suddenly stopped acting like decent people?

[Reading Guide]:

1. The early part is purely about raising the child, with childhood-friend older brothers doting on him. No romance before adulthood; once he grows up, the brothers compete for him, with plenty of tense love-triangle scenes.

2. Happy ending, all relationships are exclusive, no choosing between love interests. Written to indulge a particular preference: older brothers discipline and protect their younger brother.

3. The darling is an oblivious baby. When he grows up, he is unknowingly flirtatious, but only toward the three older brothers. A male supporting character has a one-sided crush.

4. All the brothers are powerful, entitled heirs. They don't dote on him from the start; there's an initial period of adjustment. After they settle in, it's all sweetness and doting.
