[Outline stuck, taking a breather for now] Miaojiang pretty boy x British big bad wolf
Miaojiang teenager Li Chu transmigrates into a melodramatic novel, becoming the male lead's British fiancé and future husband. His original self was vain and flirtatious, and when Li Chu arrives, he's in the bathtub with someone, uh... having a video-play session.
The good news: His phone gets wet, and the video cuts off.
The bad news: His fiancé, Cyrus, is leaning against the doorway, his silver-gray eyes half-lidded, as if taking in everything.
Li Chu's legs go weak: QAQ What a disastrous start!
*
In the original novel, Cyrus is devoted to the protagonist, while his fiancé pushes his luck to the extreme and is not long for this world.
The unlucky Li Chu lies awake until dawn, clutching the edge of his blanket: It's time to show my cheap fiancé just how powerful Miaojiang Gu magic can be.
"Plant a love Gu, and the protagonist will come around and be utterly devoted to you!"
But he'd forgotten that he was a complete dummy.
His Gu magic is no better than his atrocious English: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
*
Cyrus acts like a polished professional on the surface, but behind the scenes he's ruthless and decisive.
He hates people who think they're clever and lie all the time.
Until one day, the boy comes running over covered in silver ornaments, their clinking making Cyrus's gaze grow darker, to the point that...
He pretends to believe the boy's ridiculous claim that he can cast Gu magic.
Not long afterward, the school is in an uproar:
The elite heir of a wealthy family, the nemesis of every guy on campus, Cyrus Helsing, is already engaged. Even more shocking, it looks like his fiancée has been cheating on him!
The person in question remains unruffled, flooring the accelerator and making his supercar roar.
Meanwhile, Li Chu finishes casting his Gu spell, only to discover...
When the protagonist opens his eyes, that fervent, scorching gaze is fixed directly on Li Chu's face!
Li Chu, who has already bought a ticket back to China: o_O Please don't scare me.
Along with rumbling thunder, he hears the screech of brakes.
After the world spins around him, Cyrus grips him around the waist with one hand, holding him so tightly he can't pry himself free.
"So this is how you cast a Gu spell?" The man throws him into the car with just as much force, yet wears an exceptionally gentle smile.
"Next time it'll work!" Li Chu adds, not afraid of death. "Then I'll break off our engagement and won't get in your way."
"Break off what?" Cyrus's breath draws close, his tone coaxing.
"...The engagement."
The next moment.
The man leans over him, his gaze suddenly turning cold, as if he intends to devour him whole. Terrified, Li Chu scrambles away, only to have his ankles grabbed and be dragged back several times.
The silver bells on his ankles ring in unison with Cyrus's irresistible, devilish whisper:
"Take back every word you just said."
"Or should I help you swallow them myself?"
※A few things to know before reading※
1. The male lead never falls for the original novel's protagonist. Rest assured, this is a one-on-one romance.
2. Li Chu's original self had a warped sense of right and wrong, but baby Li Chu is absolutely kindhearted. Even if he's a little silly, he's brave enough to take responsibility for the consequences.
3. Although it features Miaojiang elements, this is essentially a sweet romance.
4. The logic is for beginners and my writing is limited, so please be kind.
5. I may make a few small tweaks to the blurb, but the central premise won't change.
Theme: Set sail and spread ethnic culture.
