Let’s Cultivate! The Gacha Pool Has Updated

Please add my upcoming sect-management novel, Raising a Sect of Sword Cultivators Is So Hard

Blurb:

Xia Yun Zhao transmigrates into the cultivation world as a treasure hunter barely scraping by. All she wants is to cultivate and farm with her bronze pill cauldron. But who knew the thing could draw cards? Feed it enough spirit stones and spiritual treasures, and it will draw cultivation techniques and pill recipes

Five draws from the start: You received [Qi Gathering Art], [Lightness Technique], [Spirit Dew Pill Recipe], [Azure Cloud Boots Crafting Diagram]... Congratulations, you received the Yellow-grade cultivation technique [Qi Gathering and Origin Circulation Art]!

And there are endless formation diagrams, talismans, and spiritual plant guides...

After a few draws, Xia Yun Zhao caught on... Hold on, it only needs to be fed spiritual energy, right? It never said the spiritual treasures had to be high-grade!

Bronze Pill Cauldron: ...

Word had it that a mysterious cultivator had appeared in the Lian Cui Mountains. They were said to be good at scavenging. They carried home basket after basket of Spirit Dew Grass that nobody else wanted, and collected sack after sack of Foul Qi Mushrooms that everyone else avoided...

All the cultivators thought this person had gone mad from poverty... until they saw the hundred Spirit Dew Pills, hundred defensive discs, hundred purification gourds, hundred Seven-Star Rings, and even a hundred long-lost treasures belonging to a mighty cultivator, the Heaven-Mending Mirror! This person made a fortune selling treasures, and their cultivation shot up faster than a rabbit!

Good heavens, wasn’t the Heavenly Dao supposed to treat all things like straw dogs? How come this person gets to live so well?

The cultivation world is in turmoil, and life is hard. While others fight tooth and nail over a single magical treasure, Xia Yun Zhao’s cave abode is blanketed with high-grade spiritual herbs, packed with cultivation manuals and talismans, and protected by peerless formations.

...There’s even a peerless sword cultivator of profound cultivation guarding her. It’s practically luring people in just to kill them.

Xia Yun Zhao looks up at the changed skies. This cultivation world isn’t so hard to get by in after all!

Bonus scene: Xia Yun Zhao always thought the recipes and cultivation techniques drawn from the cauldron were mediocre, until one day, her opponent trembled as they stared at the Spirit Dew Pill and cultivation manual in her hands. “These recipes and techniques have been lost for tens of thousands of years! Where did you learn them?”

Xia Yun Zhao: ?

She looked down at the cauldron’s written descriptions:

Pill recipe: [A recipe with absolutely no technique involved. Completely useless. Who knows who would need this? Nobody would even pick it up off the ground. They’d hate to get it stuck to the soles of their shoes.]

Cultivation technique: [Seriously? You’re going to become an immortal with a technique this bad? You’d have to be ridiculously talented just to reach the Golden Core stage!]

“...”

Well, all right then!

(This novel will go premium on Wednesday, October 29. Thanks for your support!)

A few notes for readers:

1. The blurb may be revised.

2. This is a light, feel-good power fantasy. The priority is making it fun.

3. The last one is the gong.

Raising a Sect of Sword Cultivators Is So Hard

Blurb:

Jian Lian Zhou carries a Dragon-Ahead System when he transmigrates into the cultivation world, becoming a newly initiated disciple of a sword-cultivator sect that flourished ten thousand years ago.

Only interested in making money, he glances at the System’s long list of cultivation and leveling tasks and promptly switches it to mute.

System: “*&¥... ()”

Jian Lian Zhou ignores it, tidies up his perfectly ordinary cave abode, and quietly starts saving money.

He hasn’t been saving for long when the old sect leader passes away. The sect leader’s token flies off the mountain peak and smacks Jian Lian Zhou on the head.

Jian Lian Zhou: “?”

Did the sect leader’s token glitch?

-

The token didn’t glitch. It simply followed the old sect leader’s final wishes and precisely selected the wealthiest disciple in the entire sect.

Jian Lian Zhou glances at the few dozen spirit stones in his storage pouch.

“...”

He lowers his head and flips through the account books and disciple registry.

The sect is so broke it has sold off everything, even mortgaging its ancestral grounds. All that remains are three ramshackle huts, four broken swords, four sword cultivators, and one newly appointed sect leader...

If they don’t make money soon, they’ll have to sell the signboard at the mountain gate!

The System seizes the moment while Jian Lian Zhou is silent. “I have pill recipes! Cultivation techniques! Medicinal formulas! They can all make money! If you’re not going to cultivate, are you really not going to make money?”

-

Poverty makes people industrious.

The children of poor families grow up fast.

Jian Lian Zhou soon learns alchemy, artifact forging, medicine and sorcery, and dual cultivation in poison arts... As he makes money through tears, his cultivation level also skyrockets.

But just as the Tai Xuan Sect’s territory grows, its fame spreads, and its sword cultivators multiply, its spending gets even faster!

Jian Lian Zhou jolts upright on his deathbed. “What? I’ve already spent all the spirit stones I just saved?!” Then he fires up the pill cauldron and gets right back to refining!

One by one, he completes the Dragon-Ahead System’s leveling tasks.

Cultivation rewards keep rolling in.

As everyone watches his cultivation soar, they gape in amazement.

Jian Lian Zhou takes the pill recipes unlocked by his leveling tasks and refines another batch of valuable pills. “What are you standing around for? Take the pills and sell them!”

Someone nearby: “Sect Leader, you’re... you’re about to ascend...”

Jian Lian Zhou snaps, “Is this really the time to talk about that?!”

Watching the newly refined pills and artifacts turn into heaps of spirit stones, Jian Lian Zhou, sect leader of the Tai Xuan Sect, nearly ascended but still short on cash, finally lets out a deep breath. Raising a sect of sword cultivators is so hard!

Theme: Good and evil both have their rewards
