(Marvel and DC) Don't Make a Wish Upon Your Ex

Honestly, everyone makes wishes about their ex. All I did was tell him when we broke up, "The handsome rich guy, the neurotic scientist, the cute rookie reporter, and the steady boss here all seem way more charming than you. I'll find someone new in no time." That's all!

Then the handsome rich guy started pursuing me like crazy, the neurotic scientist developed a love potion for me, the rookie reporter bashfully gave me a rose, and my steady boss ditched his tacky plaid shirt just to get my attention... What is going on with you people? Who's been monitoring my phone?!

...I must be losing my mind. The handsome rich guy has the same little habits at dinner as my ex. The scientist knows the little secret my ex and I shared. The rookie reporter opened my diary, which has a password no one knows. My boss bought me the same ring my ex used to wear... I must be going crazy. I keep seeing traces of my ex in all these people...

What? You want to know why they couldn't be actors hired by my ex?

Oh, that's because he's dead.
