Wrapping things up... My upcoming story, “Is It Wrong to Be a Tyrant in a Sports Anime?”, is down below! After placing third and narrowly missing out on the Spring High, Kashimano unexpectedly gets bound to a dating-game simulator. And he has to turn into adorable little animals! [You’re a socially anxious doggo who later becomes an obscure, gloomy nobody at Seijo, but you’re secretly dating the volleyball club’s most famous heartthrob. You really don’t want to make your relationship public, so you break up with Oikawa Tooru. Your reason is, ] [A: I don’t love you anymore B: I hate having people pay attention to me! C: Write your own __] Kashimano picks C without hesitation and says, “Because I’ve fallen in love with volleyball! Dating will only get in the way of me playing!” The Great King (confused): “Huh?” [You’re a crow who became a poor student because you’re illiterate, but you’re dating a top student and the volleyball team’s opposite hitter. He’s been busy with club activities and neglecting you lately, and you’re furious. You say, ] [A: Let’s break up. B: Your heart is blacker than my feathers! C: Write your own __] Kashimano picks C again: “Good. Keep it up. People who love volleyball have the best taste!” Sharp-tongued guy with glasses (bewildered): “What the heck?” [You’re a little fox, an emissary of Inari, who has become an antisocial transfer student at Inarizaki. Your boyfriend is the best setter in high school, and this is your first date. You should say, ] [A: This ice cream is so sweet. Want a bite? B: Can you brush my fur? C: Write your own __] Kashimano picks C again: “Set the ball for me, please.” Golden-haired fox (eyes brimming with tears): “Senpai Ono, are you finally going to learn about volleyball for my sake?” [You’re a silly owl who got hit by a volleyball, and you’re dating the setter from Fukurodani who rescued you. But then you discover that he’s actually really good at volleyball. You hate volleyball, so you want to say A: You lied to me. I hate you! B: Let me peck you once. Think of it as our parting gift. C: Write your own __] Kashimano continues making things up: “So you’re a spy sent by the God of Volleyball to win me over. You succeeded. Let me join your volleyball team, too!” Fukurodani setter (patting his head): “Be careful not to get hurt when you play.” [You’re a stray cat who became a lazy, artsy shut-in after turning into a human, but you’re madly in love with the handsome, spiky-haired captain of the volleyball team. Your birthday is coming up, and he asks what you want as a present. Your answer is, ] [A: A kiss B: Six months’ worth of cat treats and dried fish C: Write your own __] Whenever he can’t decide, Kashimano picks C: “I want this year’s Spring High championship trophy!” The spiky-haired guy (smiling): “With your support, we’re sure to win!” The simulator System crashes: Host, you’re here to fall in love, not play volleyball! Why have you won so many championships?! Seijo, Karasuno, Inarizaki, Fukurodani, Nekoma. Maybe Shiratorizawa will be added, too. 1. The protagonist wins a championship at every school he goes to. A monster on the court, a sweetheart off it. 2. You volleyball-obsessed people are something else when it comes to romance... (pointing fingers) Upcoming story: “Is It Wrong to Be a Tyrant in a Sports Anime?” After ten years of ups and downs in a Western fantasy world, the System finally finds him and says, “There was a mistake at work. You were supposed to go to the world of sports anime.” Kage: “But I’ve already become a brutal demon king.” A demon king is reincarnated, and an out-and-out, genuine tyrant appears in a youthful, passionate sports anime! The volleyball players say, “Friendship and bonds never give up. We’re a team.” But a moment later, they hear the black-haired, red-eyed boy who beat them tell his teammates, “If you can’t play, get lost. I never win games with dead weight.” The Generation of Miracles say, “Being invincible is lonely. There’s no one left who can beat me.” The next moment, the team they had already crushed brings out its newly crowned king. He gets past multiple players on his own, treats the basket like his own home, and scores whenever he wants. Utterly dominant! The demon king boy mocks them expressionlessly: “That’s it?” The tennis players say, “Youth always comes with regrets. You have to learn to accept defeat.” Kage does as he pleases, crushing them again and again: “Keep it up, number twos.” When he arrives in the world of soccer, Kage says, “So this is the warmth of home.” Kage has only one goal: fight and have a blast! The System, finally back from its annual leave, returns to work. “I wonder if the Host has become a kind, approachable, popular sports-anime character.” “He’s already a tyrant who just told the media, ‘Japanese sports are full of trash.’” System: “W-what?!” Sports-anime characters always face all kinds of challenges. And figuring out how to beat Kage is the biggest challenge of their lives. Only those who are battered and broken by defeat, yet keep following in Kage’s footsteps with all their might, can be reborn! Theme: Love means supporting each other.
