My name is Kawasaki Rin. I'm a born-and-raised Hyogo girl, currently a second-year at Inarizaki and one of the captains of the kyudo club.
When classes were assigned at the start of the school year, I ended up next to Inarizaki's most famous handsome twins. Well, there was only one of them.
And then I fell in love with his handsome face at first sight.
The good news: I'm his deskmate.
The bad news: after observing him, I discovered that Miya Atsumu is an idiot who only thinks about volleyball.
But that's fine. As a captivating, untouchable beauty, I've got plenty of energy and tricks up my sleeve.
Click to watch Kawasaki Rin demonstrate the proper way to tame a fox :D
Ahem! Class is now in session at Kawasaki's Fox-Taming Tutorial!
Step one: What do you do when you barely know your crush?
Kawasaki Rin: Use a little trick to get his attention!
So when the teacher's gaze fell on Miya Atsumu, who was brazenly sleeping in class, Kawasaki Rin didn't hesitate to reach over, grab his arm, and twist it hard.
Miya Atsumu, stifling a cry of pain, glared at his deskmate, who had always minded her own business. In return, he got a look from Kawasaki Rin that said, "I'm doing this for your own good," and a scolding from the teacher.
Miya Atsumu: ...You dead woman!
After class, Miya Atsumu shouted at her angrily, "Kawasaki Rin! Just you wait!"
Kawasaki Rin: Plan working perfectly.
Step two: What do you do when your crush is always mean to you?
Kawasaki Rin: Give him a little something. Treat others as you'd like to be treated :P
In math class, Miya Atsumu stared at his single-digit score, fretting about how to avoid getting chewed out by Kita. Then he suddenly heard an infuriating snicker from beside him.
A vein popped on his forehead. He tried to suppress his anger as he turned toward the source of the sound.
Who else could it be but Kawasaki Rin? In Miya Atsumu's eyes, all that pretty face had become was hateful. She smiled, her eyes gleaming, then parted her lips and said two words: "What an idiot."
Miya Atsumu: I knew you couldn't say anything nice!!! I'm gonna fight you!!!
Before Miya Atsumu could fire back, Kawasaki Rin dangled some bait: "If you ask me nicely, I might help you out. If I remember right, anyone who fails the monthly exam can't go to the volleyball team's training camp, right?"
...Miya Atsumu's gaze dropped to Kawasaki Rin's nearly perfect math test.
Miya Atsumu: ...
Miya Atsumu: For volleyball! I'll put up with this!
So he forced a crooked smile and did a complete one-eighty.
"...What an ugly smile."
'I swear, I'm gonna fight that dead woman, Kawasaki Rin!!!'
Anyway, everything went according to Kawasaki Rin's plan, except for one thing...
Kawasaki Rin wore her usual smile as she looked at Miya Atsumu across from her. He was stammering, his ears red, and anticipation glimmered in her eyes.
Miya Atsumu: "Um...um...haha, you know it's Valentine's Day today, right?"
Kawasaki Rin: ? She kept smiling politely at him.
Miya Atsumu looked left and right, then coughed twice and held out his hand with an expression that said she was impossible to deal with. "I mean, if you were going to give me chocolate, cough, I wouldn't say no."
So what do you do when your crush is too stubborn to confess?
Kawasaki Rin smiled slightly and pretended not to know what he meant. "Oh? Miya Atsumu, do you want chocolate? I got a lot of chocolate today."
Miya Atsumu's eyes widened. He was flustered and angry. "How can you accept chocolate from other people? No! You can only accept mine!"
With that, he pulled a box of chocolates from behind his back and shoved it right into Kawasaki Rin's face.
Kawasaki Rin smiled: See? He's getting worked up again.
Someone once told Kawasaki Rin that love at first sight based on looks never ends well. Kawasaki Rin's response was:
So what? That unruly fox is mine to tame.
Later on, it turns into: a willful heroine gradually revealing her true nature, and a short-tempered Miya Atsumu who obediently does as he's told.
This is a fluffy sweet romance. There's not much volleyball.
