A refined, smiling tyrant with maximum possessiveness, the top x a calculating, manipulative hedonist with a screw loose, the bottom
A love-hate relationship, with an older top
Rong Shao is the Rong family's chosen heir. At twenty, he gives up his position as president of the family group, goes to the United States to ring the opening bell at a stock exchange, and turns the company into an industry leader in under five years. He is every inch the favored child of heaven.
In the eyes of outsiders, Rong Shao is courteous and refined, exceptionally capable, devoted to charity and public service, and a major business leader with no negative press online and not a single flaw anyone can point to.
But only his familiar competitors know that the real Rong Shao hides a blade behind his smile and is ruthless in his methods. He can be chatting amiably with someone one moment, then turn around and destroy them the next.
Over time, everyone in their circle comes to agree: You can offend anyone, but never Rong Shao.
And yet someone has the nerve to do just that.
At their first meeting, Rong Shao is teased: "How much for a night?"
At their second meeting, the other man loudly bids against him at an auction in Hong Kong.
At their third, across the negotiation table, the other man glares at him and sneers, "Rong Shao, you have such a hard heart. I wonder if you're just as hard in bed with your lover."
The fourth time, the fifth time...
They trade blows, one after the other, neither giving an inch.
For example, Ji Xiaolin sets a trap for Rong Shao. In less than half a month, the police raid and shut down several clubs and casinos under Ji Xiaolin's name.
Another time, Ji Xiaolin uses underhanded methods to frame Rong Shao. Rong Shao escapes unharmed, then turns around and sends him a "gift."
Then Ji Xiaolin pays some underworld associates to kidnap Rong Shao. Rong Shao escapes with his life and, that very day, storms over and beats Ji Xiaolin to a pulp.
Ji Xiaolin lies on his back, his face bruised and swollen from the beating, yet he still wears a reckless, unrestrained smile. He taunts Rong Shao, "Rong Shao, if you don't kill me this time, I'll keep haunting you like an evil spirit."
Rong Shao's eyes darken. He stares straight at him in silence for several minutes before finally pronouncing, "You're sick."
At that, Ji Xiaolin laughs instead of getting angry, the curve of his mouth rising even higher.
The next second, he suddenly reaches out and grabs the back of Rong Shao's neck. He pulls him down and presses his lips to Rong Shao's thin ones.
Taken completely by surprise, Rong Shao's mind hasn't caught up before he hears the other man say with a smile, "I never thought the iron-hearted President Rong would have such soft lips."
Their relationship doesn't improve after their lips meet. It gets even worse.
Rong Shao disregards the friendship between their fathers and goes after Ji Xiaolin with lethal intent time and again.
Ji Xiaolin doesn't back down, giving Rong Shao a taste of his own medicine.
Rong Shao meets every move with ease.
They remain at each other's throats for a year.
Later, one of them falls deeply in love, though neither knows who, or who falls first.
Over time, enemies become lovers, and their hearts slowly draw closer through every clash.
