When the Green Plum Meets Summer Orange

Thanks to everyone supporting the official release. Love you!

Blurb from Yue Qinyue's [shou] perspective

Blurb: One summer day, Fang Yueqin receives a message from his mother: Come back and meet the son of your mother's niece's father's mother's sister.

Fang Yueqin reads it three times before he is sure he isn't seeing things.

At their first meeting, Fang Yueqin's gaze lingers on Mei Yunhe's face. After a long moment, he says, "Little Uncle~"

Mei Yunhe glances at Fang Yueqin without expression and gives the faintest nod. Then, seeming a little awkward, he follows his cousin's instructions and says, "Yueqin."

Fang Yueqin thinks Mei Yunhe is a proper, old-fashioned little fuddy-duddy. But as he "takes care" of him, he gradually loses himself and forgets all restraint (not really). He gradually comes to love the way Mei Yunhe depends on and trusts him, and the way his eyes are always filled with Fang Yueqin~

He's so cute! I love him so much~

CP: A gong who can't stay away from the shou x a shou who only worries about the gong

Utterly dependent and utterly devoted

Mei Yunhe (gong) x Fang Yueqin (shou)

[Yunhe] comes from the Yuan dynasty poem Qin Yuan Chun by Feng Zunshi: "After eons of power and majesty, in a moment of awakening, no external aid is needed. Let the clouds drift and the cranes roam, from the ends of the earth to its farthest corners. Idle clouds and wild cranes, heedless of passing years. Beneath the moon, before the wind, free and at ease, sing when inspired and sleep when tired..."

Can you guess where the name [Yueqin] comes from?

Before-you-read guide:

1. I changed the point of view. The story opens with Yueqin (shou).

2. Yunhe and Yueqin are not blood relatives. This is explained in the story.

3. One-on-one romance, no switching or breaking them up.

4. They get together after the college entrance exams.

5. The gong is on the softer side.

6. There are author notes in almost every chapter, usually with a little bonus scene. If you don't like all the chatter, you can turn off the author notes first. If you don't mind them, you can read them alongside the main text. I had too many thoughts while writing.
