All at Once

[Another story set next door. I got a little tired, so I decided to start a separate one and come back to this later.]

II Yu Xing x Pei Shen Yu

Almost-a-straight-A student (top) x top student (bottom)

Part 1

Yu Xing and Pei Shen Yu's first proper conversation took place after the midterm exams in their second year of high school. They had PE that day. After the teacher dismissed the class, Yu Xing, who had just found out his results, went off alone to a quiet spot to wallow in misery.

"Why are you crying?" Pei Shen Yu's voice came from behind him. Yu Xing, completely immersed in his misery, jumped. Before turning around, he carefully wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes with the back of his hand.

"Are you talking to me?" Yu Xing glanced up at Pei Shen Yu, then lowered his head again and asked timidly.

Pei Shen Yu looked down at him. "Who else?"

"I don't think we're..." Yu Xing swallowed the word "close." Then he suddenly realized that might sound rude, so he nervously waited for Pei Shen Yu to lose interest and leave.

But Pei Shen Yu seemed to have misunderstood.

"It's been over a month since school started, and you still don't know who I am?" Pei Shen Yu sounded a little annoyed.

Yu Xing wasn't sure what the top student's temper was like, but he didn't like causing trouble or provoking people, so he denied it in a fluster. "No, no, I know who you are. You're the big... top student."

Oh no, that sounded kind of sarcastic. Yu Xing glanced uncertainly at Pei Shen Yu, then heard him give a soft tut.

A few things to know before reading:

★ Not sure how many words I'll write. This is tentative, since I've already brought the two of them to life.

★ Top x bottom, 1v1, no switching, no threesomes, mutual devotion.

★ Xing will be a little insecure at first.
