I Have a Childhood Friend Who Placed First in the Imperial Exams

I wrote this one night a long time ago. It’s a short story, in first person, and should be a sweet romance.

My name is A Nan. I grew up with the young scholar next door.

Then disaster struck him, and overnight, no one dared go near him.

But I did, because we were childhood friends.

Later, he placed third in the imperial examinations, and everyone thought he would never come back.

But he did, because we were childhood friends.

Theme: Love means supporting each other.
