[Football] Milan's Daily Birdkeeping

[[Reposting an old story from the Raising Birds in Milan series. I'll notify my editor and begin serializing it officially once everything is ready.]] A little bird circles above the Apennine Peninsula. After a long search, he finally decides to land in Milan and build a nest. Viktor, whose teammates are always ruffling his feathers: The people at AC Milan are good-looking, speak nicely, and play ball with me! There are even "birds like me" I can snuggle up to. I love it here so much! The Kyiv Nightingale, constantly rubbed against by the chirping little bird: I don't want to push him away, and I can't bring myself to ruffle his head feathers. What should I do? Guess I'll have to carry him back to the nest and raise him... * Viktor is a footballer who makes a point of attending concerts and taking pictures of the scenery whenever he's playing away. Fans: V.V.! What exactly is your main job? Viktor: Huh? Didn't I come here to win championships?? (looking utterly confused.jpg) (quietly putting away his violin/harmonica/flute...) Time and again, the fans thank God for bringing this child back to Italy. And they are glad that this colorful lark chose to build his nest in Milan, and to hop and run around San Siro. AC Milan will always be his home. Also known as "The Nest-Building Diary of Two Little Birds in Milan" and "Maldini's Autobiography, Chapter Two: They're So Noisy, My Friend Gave Me a Pair of Zebra Finches" and "A Little Bird That Can't Sing Isn't a Good Player" P.S.: 1. You don't need to know football to enjoy this football story. The author is a tactical idiot too, hehe. There will also be lots of sweet romance. I've come up with so many lovely scenes. I really, really, really want to write them... 2. The pairing is Shevchenko. The story is set way back, and I'll do my best to research the details, though I may have to make some things up (collapsed on the floor.jpg). 3. The story will change what happened in real life. Sheva won't go to Chelsea~ (Though there's no guarantee I'll even make it to the 2006 timeline...) 4. The bird in the character profile comes from a website offering images for free commercial use~ They're basically bird versions of the two characters. Theme: Football makes up for every regret.
