The Couple Who Walks Their Cat

“That couple who take their cat for walks around our neighborhood are so strange. The first time I ran into them was on my way home after working overtime. They caught my eye immediately. Mr. Qi and Ms. Yang were so ridiculously good-looking that it was hard not to notice them. But then I realized they were walking a cat. A black cat, late at night. The second time, I ran into Mr. Qi by the elevator. He was wearing a mask and a trench coat, with a perfectly tailored designer suit hidden underneath. When the elevator doors opened, he was looking at his watch. I seriously suspected the watch alone could buy our entire neighborhood. He was surprised when I recognized him. Then he transferred 30,030 yuan to me and asked me to keep his identity a secret. The third time was on a deserted road near the neighborhood. I saw a stretch limousine. A line of long-legged men in suits stepped out, all of them bowing to Ms. Yang and calling her ‘Young Miss.’ Ms. Yang spotted me. Then she transferred 30,030 yuan to me and asked me to keep her identity a secret. That couple may be strange, but I’d be happy to be their neighbor for the rest of my life.” From the diary of Mr. Wang, who wishes to remain anonymous. * A couple with two sides * At home, a puppy; outside, a CEO: Mr. Qi × an office drone in public, a wealthy heiress in private: Ms. Yang Theme: Be brave enough to love
