Tomorrow as Bright as Day

Also known as... The Road That Made a Rich Woman

-

Ming Xi felt her life perfectly matched Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

When she had only a few coins in her pocket, all she wanted was enough to eat.

When she had a few hundred yuan, she learned about love and sharing.

When she had tens of thousands, she started thinking about how to use money to make even more.

When she had hundreds of thousands... she learned how to look rich on the outside, too!

When she had several million, tens of millions, even hundreds of millions...

Once she had everything she wanted, and then some, Ming Xi decided she wanted a baby. She took stock of the men around her and settled on someone she already knew.

The man sat across from her and listened patiently. His eyes flickered, and his smile was captivating. After a pause, he asked humbly and gently, “Why... did you think of me?”

Ming Xi: “You’re well-educated, handsome, and have the best genes!”

The man chuckled. “...Is that all?”

Ming Xi rested her chin lightly in her hand and shamelessly added, “You’re rich, too, so you won’t swindle me out of my money.”

The man shook his head with a laugh, his expression unreadable.

Ming Xi’s heart pounded. She pressed on: “Everything I said before was made up on the spot. The most important reason, and the only real one, is that there are so many men around me, but you’re the only one I feel that way about, ”

“Oh?”

Leaning back in his chair, the man studied her, seeming both doubtful and convinced.

Ming Xi seized the chance to take his hand. Her lashes fluttered as she gently pressed her palm against the back of his hand, her voice turning suggestive. “You can’t do that kind of thing without feeling something... right?”

The man didn’t pull away. Instead, he took her hand in his, met her gaze, and slowly, solemnly replied with a single word: “Right.”

She wants his looks; he wants her heart.

Love and hard work will make both our futures shine!
