The Sickly Beauty in the 1980s

[Sorry, everyone. I really couldn't make the previous mind-reading plot work, so I've changed the blurb.]

Lin Zhaoyue was born with congenital heart disease and abandoned by the roadside when she was only a few months old.

Luckily, Granny Lin, who had no children of her own, found her and raised her like her own precious darling.

When she was seventeen, Granny Lin, the only family she had, suddenly fell ill and passed away. Lin Zhaoyue endured her grief and arranged the funeral. Then everything went black.

When she opened her eyes again, Lin Zhaoyue found herself in Haishi in the 1980s.

It was pouring rain, and she seemed to be in a sparsely populated suburb.

Knowing her body couldn't take much more, she bravely flagged down a car speeding toward her and asked if she could get a ride.

Lin Zhaoyue got in.

But her body, chilled by the wind and rain, soon gave out. She felt worse and worse, and eventually passed out.

When she woke up again, she learned by chance that the Tan family needed a younger nanny who could play with the children. With no money, nowhere to live, and no identification, Lin Zhaoyue was sorely tempted.

So Lin Zhaoyue took the initiative and sought out the man who had given her a ride: Tan Sheng.

Reader's Guide:

1. An alternate historical setting.

2. The heroine isn't a strong, independent female lead, and she won't be a nanny forever. The author is on her side.

3. The child in the blurb is the male lead's nephew.

Theme: Finding new life in adversity
