The White Moon in My Palm

Qi Yiming and Jiang Baiyue had been childhood friends for eighteen years. When they went to college, fate finally ran its course, and they didn't end up at the same school or in the same class. Instead, they enrolled at A University and B University, right across the street from each other.

Though Jiang Baiyue seemed perfectly composed about it, she was secretly over the moon.

The biggest obstacle to her early romance was finally out of her way. Now she could focus on both her studies and dating, and make sure to bring home a son-in-law for her mom as soon as she graduated!

Two months into the school year, Jiang Baiyue accepted a courtship from a guy in her department, and they officially became a couple.

A month into the relationship, she caught him cheating. After blocking and deleting him in one fell swoop, Jiang Baiyue went to the milk tea shop by the campus gate with Qi Yiming to drown her sorrows in a drink.

"Ugh, when all's said and done, I was blind and too careless."

At the milk tea shop, Jiang Baiyue chewed on her straw and summed up her failed month of dating, drawing her conclusion.

"Next time, I'll bring him to you for inspection first!"

Qi Yiming had listened to her ramble all afternoon. Hearing this, he laughed in exasperation. "What, you still aren't going to take a break?"

Jiang Baiyue puffed out her cheeks. "Of course I'm going to find someone else. Otherwise, that jerk will think I've sworn off love because of him. How disgusting would that be!"

But then she looked troubled. "It's so hard to find someone who's familiar, good-looking, has a good personality, and won't cheat."

After saying that, she turned her head and met the gaze of Qi Yiming, who sat beside her in silence.

"..."

Strictly speaking, finding someone like that wasn't all that hard.
