My Brother Became My Boyfriend

[A short story of 80,000 to 100,000 words. It will be serialized for free. I'll write this after I finish the main story next door.]

At sixteen, Yan Song discovered that he wasn't the Yan family's biological child. He and his mother were thrown out of the wealthy household where he had lived for sixteen years.

His life changed completely. His heartbroken mother died of illness, and his days as a young master were over. Yan Song stumbled forward, trying to find his way.

After graduating from college, Yan Song began dating his boyfriend as planned, and they prepared to get married.

His boyfriend took him to meet relatives and friends. A week before the meeting, Yan Song went to pick him up from work and unexpectedly ran into the "older brother" he hadn't seen in years.

The people around him greeted the man respectfully. "Good evening, President Yan."

Yan Yushan's expression was cool. He walked past without sparing him a glance.

Yan Song thought he hated him, and his gaze dimmed.

When he went to meet his boyfriend's parents, his boyfriend told him that a very impressive distant relative would also be there that day.

His boyfriend's family wasn't too pleased with him. At the dinner table, his boyfriend's mother asked gently, though the questions were difficult to answer: "Song Song, where are you from? What do your parents do? Have you ever had a girlfriend?"

The older brother, who had been silent until then, suddenly looked up and said without expression, "He grew up in City A. His parents are both dead."

Then he turned to Yan Song. "Let's go, Song Song."

Dazed, Yan Song met the man's gaze. He seemed to be back in that summer long ago, in the stifling heat and the confined space, with Yan Yushan gripping his wrist and saying, "Song Song, don't go."

Reading and content notes:

1. Yan Song x Yan Yushan. The leads are not blood-related and are not registered in the same household. They have a six-year age gap.

2. The younger lead has slept with his ex-boyfriend, who is a good person, not a scumbag seme.

Theme: We should all go home and eat together.
