Foodie x Barbecue Shop Owner
1.
At the night market, Yu Kemang met the man of her dreams. When she found out he owned a barbecue shop, she went there to show her support right away.
After eating, she left a review on a restaurant app:
The owner is so handsome. Totally my type.
Too bad he’s married.
The mango snow ice is insanely good.
2.
Ever since Yu Kemang learned that Li Zhang wore a ring to ward off people hitting on him, she went to his barbecue shop every day. The more she went, the faster her weight climbed.
One day, she ran into Li Zhang downstairs while he was out jogging.
Though she hadn’t exercised in ages, she hurried after him. “Boss Li, I gained all this weight at your shop. You should help me lose it.”
Li Zhang: “How?”
Yu Kemang: “I’m pretty into morning jogs too. Want to be jogging buddies?”
A few days later, Li Zhang spotted Yu Kemang at the track in a tailored skirt suit and seven-centimeter heels. “What exactly are you after?”
Yu Kemang: “I want to date you.”
Next up: a road-trip story about pseudo-siblings, The Wind Across the Wilderness
1.
All of Xi Yao’s friends knew she liked to cyberstalk a certain man.
She was so obsessed that she checked his social media all the time, learning his interests, job, life history, and even his test scores from childhood onward.
Her friends teased her: “Aren’t you afraid you’ll fall in love with him one day?”
Xi Yao: “No way. He’s my brother.”
Her friend was curious: “How come we’ve never met him?”
Xi Yao thought to herself: I’ve never met him either.
2.
On the first day of vacation, Xi Yao walked into Chen Lubei’s shop.
She said the person she loved most was getting married, and she wanted to go to Xinjiang and steal them away, but she had no money, so she wanted to hitch a ride with them.
Later, when asked again, she said she wanted to go fly a kite on the grasslands.
Chen Lubei knew she never told the whole truth.
Xi Yao lay in bed, running her hand over the abs of the person beside her. She pouted. “Of course you are. You’ll always be my brother.”
Chen Lubei caught her wrist. “That’s another lie.”
3.
Twilight in a small town in Xinjiang.
Xi Yao swung on a swing as the wind lifted her white gauzy dress, like snow on distant mountains.
Her tearful words, “I have no family anymore,” tested Chen Lubei’s self-control.
He wanted to give her a safe and stable home.
Xi Yao scoffed. “How could I marry the person I hate most in this life?”
*A sister who only wants revenge x a brother who gives everything to repay her
*Pseudo-siblings who have never met, on a collision course
*Love and hate on a road trip between brother and sister
