Recently, Xiao Cheng has been playing a volleyball RPG. Volleyball is the main focus, but it also features crossovers with quite a few sports anime. Xiao Cheng rubs his hands together excitedly, ready for a genius's volleyball adventure.

["No hookups"]
[Entry successful]
[Randomly selecting an identity, ]
[Congratulations, your identity is: "Bystander"]
One of the game's main features is that you can draw a random identity. Whether you're a god or a demon is up to fate. This gacha-like mechanic is one of the reasons most players get hooked.
After drawing the "Bystander" identity, Xiao Cheng freezes completely.
Damn it, there goes my dream of dominating volleyball
From then on, he has no choice but to be an ordinary bystander, passing through the world of volleyball boys and completing various location check-ins.
Scene One:
[In front of you is Inarizaki's signature spectacle: the Miya twins brawling. As a proper bystander and volleyball club member, you have the following options, ]
[A. Find the coach or a reliable senior to stop the brawl]
[B. Watch quietly]
[C. Run over beside the twins, take a bunch of pictures with your phone, and yell, "You call that a fight? You're not gonna kill anyone like that! Didn't you eat today? Hit harder!"]
Xiao Cheng remembers that he's a bystander, so he should pick an option that suits a bystander!
So, without the slightest hesitation, he chooses C.
The twins, still brawling: ?
Suna, taking pictures too: Uh...
The reliable senior who just arrived: ...
Xiao Cheng, now receiving the gaze of the entire volleyball club: Hehe.
Scene Two:
[You come across an absolutely gorgeous young man sitting alone on a bench, exuding an air of sorrow and grief. He looks ready to burst into tears. You have the following options, ]
[A. Go over quietly and prepare to comfort him]
[B. Watch quietly]
[C. Men shouldn't cry easily, but handsome guy, please don't die!]
He's a bystander, but... C is the obvious choice!
The absolutely gorgeous young man: ...?
And so on, too many times to count.
The volleyball guys being tormented: We've learned our lesson. Please spare us.
Xiao Cheng, passing by as usual, smiles faintly.
Reader's Note:
Unless something unexpected happens, the CP in this novel is Kita. Everyone else is just a friend.
This is purely a torment-the-cast story. There isn't much detail about the matches. The protagonist isn't actively tormenting anyone, but he's always on his way to do it. He's genuinely just a bystander, with no exceptional athletic ability or extraordinary volleyball talent.
The game mechanics will be gradually explained. It's totally normal for a game to become reality, right? (smiles)
P.S. The protagonist isn't the only player in the game, so there may be a few chapters involving conflicts between players. If you don't like that, please don't read!
