How an Ordinary Clam Made the Strongest Captain

[Not sure when this will make it into the queue, but here's the blurb for now]

My name is Iris Gabalone. My older brother is a handsome boss who inherited a million-dollar family business, my godfather is one of the most renowned big shots in the assassin world, my junior fellow disciple is the newly appointed leader of the allied Cavallone organization, and the person I'm currently involved with is a schoolmate who can transmigrate between parallel worlds.

Sounds like I've got some powerful connections, right?

But I'm not happy about it.

I don't want to rely on those connections. I'd rather make a name for myself on my own!

But what I never expected was this:

>>

Dear Good-for-Nothing Brother,

I still can't figure out why, after waking up one day, all I could see was an endless ocean. And somehow, the first thing I did was jump in to save the landlubber sinking in front of me, bubbles and all... I'm such a kind and generous person. At the request of this idiot who can't swim but insisted on going out to sea, I've decided to travel with him until I figure out what happened.

Two months later.

To my long-unseen brother,

I've decided to make a name for myself in this new world, so don't come looking for me (or bothering me) for now.

Let's start with a small goal:

I'll make Ace a Yonko and see what he's got. XD

* Ace is the love interest. The original story will be changed dramatically by butterfly effects, and includes a woman disguising herself as a man.

* Please don't discuss anything unrelated to this story. Sections marked with [*] have been adapted from the original.
