[Western Crossover] How Did a Game with Friends Turn into an Infinite-Flow Nightmare?

Blurb for a story I never wrote: /Unconventional reaction fic/! I'm a shut-in guy who dreams of becoming a Batkid.

One day, the game I'd been waiting for finally launched, so I quickly called two friends to explore the uncharted zone with me! I was thrilled while creating my character, because I could finally become a Batkid! Then I turned to look at my friends. What?! You look down on Batman?! Fine, just you wait. I can wait until next time to make a new alt and become a Batkid, but I'll make anyone who looks down on Batman see his appeal!

I swapped game pods with my friends that very night! Haha! Just you wait, I'll become a Batkid!

After entering the game, a cold and aloof Batkid appeared, looking down on everyone equally. And me? I became a high school boy (deadpan). It's all because of what my other friend did! They said they wanted us to experience high school together, but do you know this is Gotham?! Friend: It's fine, I saw this coming, so we're going to New York! Me: ...Fine. I played the game by the book for a few months, then one day I logged in and suddenly realized I'd somehow entered a death game...

One day, an app mysteriously appeared on the phones of everyone in every city. As large numbers of people disappeared, the superheroes of each city held an emergency meeting! A few days later, the app opened on its own, and images appeared on the screens. The heroes watched warily and realized it seemed to be a livestream app. The missing people had appeared. [Instance One: A Happy Family] [Viewers: ...] The instance is underway, and I'm making the most of my cowardly, survival-first personality to live life my way in the death game!

Next, you'll see the lights suddenly go out in a huge mansion. The once-gentle "mother" reveals her true face, the hulking "father" starts hunting everyone down, the cute "little brother" cries that he's hungry, and the beauty-loving "older sister," missing her lower half and bleeding, crawls toward you! The viewers watch as a pretty blond boy stumbles and falls while running. They feel sorry for him. Looks like another person's about to die. But the boy says, his voice trembling with tears, "I... I'm scared..." The "mother," her eyes bleeding, smiles. "Sweetheart, how can you be scared of us? We're family." She starts to charge at him. Then the blond boy makes a smile that's uglier than crying. "I-I'm scared of the dark..." The ghost family: ...? As the terrifying ghosts watch, the boy starts singing, "I-I admit I'm scared of the dark..." The viewers watching the livestream fall silent, and so do the superheroes in New York. In the umpteenth instance, the son of Gotham's richest man meets that pretty boy.

Then the Batfamily watches their son give the guy the cold shoulder while doing his laundry (not).

First edit: 1. I got an idea while lying in bed and thought it was great. I'd been looking for reaction fics, the kind where superheroes watch their kids in another world, but there weren't many, so I decided to cook something up myself. There are three main characters, and the story will probably be told in third person. Basically, two single-celled organisms will "live high off the hog" in a death game under the guidance of a reliable big brother. Well, actually, I haven't figured it out yet. 2. This isn't a traditional death game. People who enter the game will return to the real world too! There'll also be a zombie instance. Honestly, I really love zombies! (Damn, I actually wanted to use The Walking Dead as an instance!) 3. Blurb written at 8 p.m. on August 1, 2024.
