Red Furnace, Green Ant Wine

Miao Qianzhong, the bandit king of Jiangnan, was famed for robbing heaven, earth, and all living things. By a twist of fate, he robbed a lay Buddhist disciple, and from then on embarked on a never-ending road of losing money.

Later, he even lost himself along with it.

"Say yes!"

"Marry me!"

"Be my bandit queen!"

Every kiss left him burning and breathless. Every plea left him flustered, yet stirred something strange within him.

It was a little itchy, a little exciting, like a seed sprouting...

Su Ziming: "Is that all you have to say to me?"

Miao Qianzhong thought carefully, then said calmly but passionately, "I love you."

Strong liquor poured into the misty rain of Jiangnan, burning everyone until they were nearly mad.

"Once, this land had a woman general. She was no less mighty than any man, no less glorious than the great clans, and had won countless battles defending her people. She deserves the respect and admiration of all."

"Now they have a woman emperor. She despises flatterers and traitors, doesn't believe rumors, and treats civil and military officials as equals. Women may attend school, wield spears, serve as soldiers, and become generals. Anyone who dares deceive their superiors, bully loyal ministers and worthy generals, or try to revive the old custom of male supremacy will meet only one fate."

If time were turned back, I would still choose the same path, because at the time it was the only road open to me. I had no choice back then. Since I had no choice, I should let go of my regrets. Black and white are both parts of me, so why not forgive the person I once was?
