New Branches, Tangled Roots

An ordinary blind date draws the unassuming Li Han into a trap set by fate. Riverside fog, bizarre dreams, and a mysterious man drag her into the vortex of a parallel universe. She meets the gentle gentleman He An and thinks fate has sent her a perfect match, only to be pushed into a sealed operating room after losing consciousness. He An intends to steal the parallel-universe administrator privileges inside her, and a deadly conspiracy is laid bare.

At the critical moment, sealed memories suddenly awaken: Li Han is only her outward identity. Her true soul is 002, a senior judge at the spacetime headquarters, demoted to a low-level post for breaking the rules.

With her powers restored, 002 goes all out to hunt down He An, but in Universe B she witnesses the most horrific scene of all: He An has killed his own birth mother with his own hands. The dead woman in the blue qipao is Li Han, the woman whose identity 002 usurped and whom she wronged. Stunned, 002 realizes that she herself was the one who drove Li Han into a desperate situation and set the tragedy of matricide in motion.

Consumed by endless guilt, 002 frantically activates spacetime rewind in an attempt to save Li Han. But Li Han has already seen through her fate and willingly goes to her death, giving up her own life to sustain He An's. As spacetime collapses and the universe is destroyed, 002 discovers that she is only a copy of Li Han's consciousness, and every act of resistance is trapped in a closed loop of fate. She defies destiny and becomes a man, yet meets Li Han again and gives birth to He An, who is destined to kill his mother. Another cycle begins...
