An Undercover Agent's Code of Chivalry in Mihua Town

◆ Blurb:

As an undercover agent, one ought to abandon excessive morals and principles, cut off all attachments, and show no compassion.

...That was how it was supposed to be.

When Aihara Kaisei had just met the ace, Akai, a System inexplicably bound itself to him. [Host, today's mission is to be the ace Akai's knight for a day.]

Aihara: ...

Akai, who followed him even to the bathroom: ...Are you okay?

When he was forced to raise a kid, the System said, [Host, today's mission is to be the future Sherry's knight for a day.]

Aihara: ...Oh.

Shiho, who was being watched even while doing homework: I-Is this how closely the Organization keeps tabs on people?

The System: [Host, today's mission is to be the Top Killer's knight for a day.]

Aihara: Wait, who?

Gin, who was followed even when he went out for a drink, pulled out a physical holy sword: Get lost!

The System: [To maintain the knight's purity, please follow the knight's code and protect an innocent child from Gin.]

Aihara: Huh? Who? Me?

Later, after actually completing the missions, rumors about him in the Organization grew stranger and stranger.

Everyone said that he followed some bizarre code of chivalry, never killed the old, the weak, women, or children, and never killed people on the side of justice. He was always acting neurotic, saying he wanted to be someone's knight for a day and muttering about his knight's code.

Morofushi Dai, newly arrived in the Organization: Doesn't that sound a lot like an undercover agent?

Everyone: No way, no way. That guy's a lunatic!

The System stayed hidden, its name unknown.
