How Hard Can It Be to Become a Dependable Male Insect?

System: [...] Then Yiqi fell in love at first sight with a male insect with beautiful silver hair. System: [Have some self-respect! Keep your head!] Yiqi: "A Chinese person's tastes will never surrender!" System: [.] System again: [Host, you are not reliable at all.] Cylas hated male insects. They were greedy and arrogant, gluttonous and lazy. Yet, after spending a fortune in credits time and again to avoid being matched, he eventually reached his limit and had no choice but to follow his family's arrangements and go on a date with the "most suitable" male insect. That male insect had a terrible reputation, and was arrogant and willful. Cylas had no expectations of him whatsoever. But he was offered the position of primary spouse, treated with care, allowed to own his own property and work outside the home, and promised that he would be that male insect's only spouse. And on top of that, his husband seemed to say one thing and mean another. He actually cared about him! Cylas blushed. "W-well, I suppose that might not be so bad..." A seemingly proper, slightly tsundere, innocent gong × a proud and carefree shou who knows how to act sweet and coy ◇ [Please note] 1. This is a fictional setting unrelated to reality. Please don't compare it to real life. 2. The bonus chapters include children. Skip them if you prefer. Happy ending, with the couple doting on each other. 3. Please don't send me writing advice. Thank you. 4. The character with the bad reputation is not the protagonist. 5. The setting is relatively normal because of the System. 6. The note about changing the protagonist's name is at the end of Chapter One. (Incidentally, all the names were chosen at random.) 7. Read this before starting: I want to write a relatively normal, sweet insect-race romance (just one book, let me indulge myself) (I like pretty wings). Some personal worldbuilding for the society: (No insect transformation, just pretty butterfly wings. The author is afraid of bugs.) 1. Property: A spouse's property used to be transferred entirely to the male insect's name after marriage. This has been changed from the full amount to one-third. 2. Medicine: A drug has been developed to replace male insect pheromones. There is no rigid period, and military female insects only need help with their mental seas. 3. Marriage matching: After coming of age, male insects must provide mental sea guidance to two military female insects each month and provide pheromones once for research. Female insects don't take part in matching, but they have to pay a fixed amount of credits each year. Beating a spouse before or after marriage is punished under the new law, and male and female insects, nobles, and members of the royal family are all subject to the same law. 4. Work: Married military female insects are usually not allowed by their male spouses to go on expeditions to distant planets. They therefore need their families' consent, like a consent form for a high-risk mission where they might die. 5. Body types: Male and female insects have no obvious physical differences. Female insects have markings on their torsos, while sub-females are generally slender and can join the military. 6. Mental power ranks: The upper limit for male and female insects is S. For mental soothing, a male insect can soothe a female insect's mental sea even if hers is one rank higher. 7. Food: There are nutrient supplements, ordinary ingredients, and starbeast meat.
