Uncle Gintoki’s Bizarre Adventure

The blurb for the upcoming novel Natural Curls Take on the Cursed RPG is at the bottom. See my profile for completed works.

After the final battle, having lost his teacher and friends, a somewhat depressed Gintoki binds himself to the Uncle System and sets off on a journey to another world.

The romance:

Though his clan calls him a child of the gods and the jujutsu world treats him like a monster, Gojo still chooses to stand with humanity. He lives on just three hours of sleep a day, exorcising curses, teaching students, and taking on the rotten old men.

He uses his playful smile to get closer to people, so they won't be afraid of him anymore.

But after he comes out of the Prison Realm, the illusion is shattered. The very people he once protected and taught personally push him out of the human world and toward the monsters.

Seeing how wary and afraid everyone is of him, he takes the opportunity to distance himself, deal with the rotten old men alone, and head to the battlefield. Whether he lives or dies, he accepts it.

Then, at just that moment, an outsider from beyond the heavens meddles in his affairs. Though they have only just met, the man reaches out a hand, trying to pull him back into the human world.

At first, he only wants to watch coldly and see how far this natural-curled samurai, who doesn't even have cursed energy, can go.

Later, he clings to the man like a vengeful spirit: Silver-chan pulled me back into the human world, so he has to take responsibility for me in every life.

·

Gintoki never imagined that just one second of being captivated by the other's crisp white hair, followed by his own soft-hearted decision to reach out, would leave him stuck with the man for life.

Could a former demon who once wandered the battlefield really teach him how to be human?

(First blurb written on 2024.7.10) (Second version written on 2024.10.28) (Third version written on 2025.6.6; the premise is unchanged, the blurb has been polished)

Reader advisory:

1. Gintoki (bottom) x 295 (top). They save each other. Gojo at this point is strongly inhuman, and Gintoki has a severe self-destructive streak after the shock of the final battle.

2. Not much of a Silver O vibe.

Blurb for the upcoming novel Natural Curls Take on the Cursed RPG

The famous White Demon has recently become obsessed with an RPG during breaks in the war: Cursed Tales.

He will play as an ordinary jujutsu sorcerer, enroll at Tokyo Jujutsu High, and become classmates with Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri, known as the "genius generation."

[Because of a mistake by a "Window," the curse at your entrance assessment has been upgraded from Grade 2 to Grade 1. You choose:

A. Run away

B. Ask your classmates for help

C. Use the assistant supervisor as a weapon and enter the fight]

[Because you fought using the assistant supervisor, the higher-ups of the Jujutsu Headquarters have criticized you, and you face the risk of expulsion. You choose:

A. Admit your mistake honestly and ask for leniency

B. If they want me gone, fine. Who cares about staying at Jujutsu High?

C. Spend a fortune to buy a councilman as a weapon and pressure the Jujutsu Headquarters]

[Your classmate Gojo is very interested in buying a councilman with money. He wants to buy a few rotten old men for fun, too, and asks your advice:

A. Ignore him

B. Tell him to develop better taste

C. Only I get to buy them. Send the money to me]

[After losing all the money Gojo sent you and failing to buy any rotten old men, he comes to demand an explanation. You choose:

A. Play dumb

B. Run away

C. I'm broke. Want to pay me back in kind?]

[Notice: Gojo has enabled unlimited spending for the player!]

Gojo suspects his natural-curled classmate has a crush on him. The evidence:

A rescued sorcerer was rude to him, so Gintoki sold them to a host club and used the money to treat Gojo to dessert.

The curse user who tried to assassinate him, the rotten old men who ordered him around, and the rude old men from other clans were all sold off to various places, with the money used to treat him to dessert.

Gintoki only treats him to dessert, never Geto or Shoko.

He makes up an excuse about encountering a ghost and insists on sleeping on the floor in Gojo's room.

He secretly tied up a few rotten old men, yet told Gojo that if he lost all his money, he could pay him back in kind.

There are too many examples to count. Since Gintoki likes him so much and can't eat or sleep without him, Gojo will graciously agree to date him.

They spend three happy years together. Then one day, his boyfriend disappears.

Gojo starts to lose his mind.

It turns out that, in his boyfriend's eyes, he is just an NPC in a game.

It turns out that his boyfriend failed to overthrow the shogunate and was captured, forced to choose between his teacher and his comrades.

Gojo is furious, wanting to lock his boyfriend up and punish him severely. But when he sees the other's tears, he decides to destroy the shogunate, the Tendoshu, and everything else that makes his boyfriend sad or puts him in a difficult position.

Theme: Stay positive and keep striving, no matter where you are
