Natsume from the Next Desk Punches One Cursed Spirit After Another

After an accident, Yuji, a third-year student at Yukigaoka, learned that cursed spirits existed. Because he had swallowed one of the King of Curses' fingers, he was sentenced to death.

With Teacher Gojo acting as his guarantor, he spent his days studying and his nights exorcising cursed spirits.

He was busy and exhausted, but the thought of protecting his friends and classmates, especially his seemingly fragile new seatmate Natsume, made it all worthwhile. Then one day, when he was losing a hard-fought battle and had resigned himself to his fate, Natsume appeared from nowhere and smashed a cursed spirit with one punch.

Yuji: My seatmate is amazing.

The more he learned about Natsume's past, the more he vowed to protect this kind and gentle person. But somehow... he was the one being protected.

Because his uncle Shigeru had to relocate for work, Natsume, who had been able to see yokai since childhood, transferred to Yukigaoka Middle School in Miyagi.

There, he made many friends and met many yokai who had crossed paths with Grandma Reiko. He also discovered the terrifying, seemingly endless cursed spirits. Later, he happened to find out that his seatmate Yuji was a sorcerer in secret and had been sentenced to death.

Knowing Yuji, he couldn't understand the sentence. He was angry and heartbroken, and decided to protect this kind and gentle person. But somehow... he was the one being protected.
