The Four Seasons Inn

Also known as The Bureau of Protection for Women and Children in Ancient Times (parallel-universe setting)

Beyond the Thirty-Six Heavens lie three thousand small worlds derived from the Source World. Since the power of the Heavenly Dao is weak, they are easily coveted and corrupted by evil spirits. Formless, these spirits delight in misleading people and persecuting those burdened with a heavenly mandate, weakening the Heavenly Dao and stealing the fortune of the small worlds.

As evil energy invades, rebels who once stood no chance against it receive a glimpse of heaven's secrets: to stop Qin from sweeping across the six kingdoms and unifying the land, remnants of the six kingdoms who have been reborn plot to assassinate the young First Emperor; for the sake of family and personal advancement, opportunists who have obtained a glimpse of heaven's secrets plot to kill Wei Zifu and take her younger brother and nephew as their golden fingers; and, opposed to a woman ruling from the court, pedants who claim to know the future plot to harm Lu Zhi when she is down...

Legend has it that beyond the heavens lies the Four Seasons Inn, drifting among the three thousand small worlds. Whenever someone burdened with a heavenly mandate faces danger in a small world, the Four Seasons Inn appears to protect them.
