Receptor's Perspective:
The chief judge of Dors, Xi Sheng, was ordered to hunt down and kill the undercover criminal who had stolen top-secret federal intelligence: Si Juexing.
With his exceptionally keen powers of observation, he quickly found the Alpha in the impoverished, plague-ridden Mante Federation. The man had an injured shoulder and a bloodied scab at the corner of his mouth.
Xi Sheng drove him into a dead end, one step at a time. But when the moment came to shoot Si Juexing, he hesitated.
Because he suddenly felt the gland in his right wrist heating up strangely, while the blood in his body began to boil.
Cold sweat beaded on his forehead. He forced himself to stay calm and analyzed the symptoms, concluding that he had contracted the Federation's plague: OSR virus, or Omega Group Fever and Loss-of-Control Syndrome.
In the instant Xi Sheng lost focus, the cornered Alpha in front of him keenly noticed something was wrong.
Fearlessly, the man stepped forward and rubbed his forehead against the cold muzzle of Xi Sheng's gun. Word by word, he said, "Officer Xi, your file says you're a Beta. Then why did I just... smell your pheromones?"
Xi Sheng stared coldly at the Alpha pressing closer, but his body still went limp against his will. His last conscious thought before passing out was that he had fallen into the Alpha's dangerous embrace.
Seme's Perspective:
Si Juexing never imagined that the famous, ice-cold Chief Judge would be so... clingy during his heat.
But the day after the heat passed, Xi Sheng returned to his cold, unapproachable self. He even bit the gland at the back of Si Juexing's neck without mercy, blood at the corner of his mouth tainted with the scent of Si Juexing's pheromones.
Si Juexing didn't mind at all. He smiled. "Officer Xi, if you don't want anyone to discover your secret, take me back to Dors and tell those people at the tribunal that I've defected and am now your subordinate."
Xi Sheng picked up the gun beside him and aimed it at Si Juexing's head. His voice made the air feel bitterly cold. "Why should I agree? I can kill you right now."
Si Juexing was unafraid. "Because the chip in your gland has completely accepted my pheromones. When your plague flares up again, I'm the only one who can save you."
He caught Xi Sheng by the wrist and kissed the gland there.
"Officer Xi, I hereby officially declare you my accomplice."
