The Eighth Day of Disappearance [Mystery]

I feel like something strange has been happening lately.

My shadows have been severed.

Every seven nights, they disappear. They only come back when I wake up the next morning.

It’s so strange. My life hasn’t changed because of it, but I still want to find out where my shadows go.

I followed the first piece of my shadow. It led me to the scene of a drowning. I saw a fleeing shadow and a girl struggling in the water.

But my hand passed right through her body.

The girl died, and I returned to that morning in the real world.

Seven days later, I followed the second piece of my shadow. It led me to a hotel, where I heard running footsteps and screams.

I tried to grab the person falling from the building, but once again, my hand passed right through them.

So my shadows have been watching people die all this time.

What should I do? How can I bring my shadows back?

Should I catch all those killers?
