I Save Him in the Stars

He Xingzhi grew up on the most run-down, nameless planet in the entire galaxy. The most formidable person she had ever seen was Shi Qiangqiang, who forged metal at the spaceport.

But Shi Qiangqiang looked down on her.

One day, a man in a thoroughly wretched state got drunk and collapsed outside her home. He Xingzhi took him in to work at the forge, determined to raise a second man who would be even stronger and more formidable than Shi Qiangqiang.

From then on, scenes like these became a regular occurrence at her home:

“Dali, come help me forge!”

The man lifted an eyelid, glanced at her, and rolled over.

“Dali, time to exercise!”

The man raised one hand, yawned, and went back to sleep.

“Dali, let's train together and fight star beasts!”

The man glanced at the fearsome star beast, then promptly turned and walked away.

He Xingzhi was so exasperated that she punched the star beast's body apart and chased after him.

She issued her final ultimatum: Dali, my home doesn't keep weak, useless men.

Maurice, once the galaxy's number one general and now going by the name Niu Dali, frowned at her. “You're strong. You ought to support me.”

He Xingzhi: What kind of new excuse for living off a woman is that?

But for some reason, Dali gradually started working hard, and He Xingzhi grew more and more satisfied.

Until the empire's turmoil finally reached the remote, nameless planet.

Only then did He Xingzhi learn that the man who had collapsed in front of her home was a defeated general, a coward condemned by the Federation, and an outcast despised by everyone.

Maurice also thought He Xingzhi would abandon him, just like the others.

But He Xingzhi packed her things and took Maurice straight to the Federation without a second thought.

She would prove that he was no defeated general.

Because Dali was the greatest hero in her heart.

“Your courage is known to no one...

But I'll use a loudspeaker to broadcast all the good things you've done, over and over!”

Maurice: I'm touched, but why does that sound kind of strange?
