Gentle Capybara Entry Fragger Top x Shield Knight Invader Bottom At the KG World Championship, the legendary three-time champion team SAB failed to make the finals, stopping in the quarterfinals. Listen, who had spent years as SAB's substitute, took over as captain. That night, fans and haters fought online, and even passersby got caught in the crossfire. The media on site were especially sharp and relentless. "Listen, SAB has been a legendary team for over a decade, and every captain before you was recognized as a godlike genius. But it seems you've only competed this once, and you led the team to lose its winning streak. Do you think you're suited for the job?" "Given SAB's achievements over the years, now that you've taken over as captain, does the responsibility feel like a burden?" They might as well have written the words "Are you even qualified?" across his forehead. Facing the barbed questions, Gu Ting sat in his gaming chair, long lashes lowered. His pale pink wolf cut fell over his shoulders. With slender fingers, he idly spun a coin. After one turn, it landed steadily on the table, the sound it made particularly grating. Gu Ting spoke slowly. "Success need not be mine." Someone sneered. Gu Ting looked up, his voice firm and resonant, a faint smile on his lips. "But I will surely have a part in it." The young man's arrogant, haughty demeanor in that interview was put on trial across the internet. Netizens: He lost the match and he's still this cocky! Where's his shame??? Netizens: Damn, if I had his thick skin, I'd succeed at anything. Doubts and slander came one after another. Gu Ting's social media page was a mess, impossible to look at. Yet one user with a default garbled avatar jumped into the fray, arguing with everyone, bouncing around and taking on a hundred haters at once, tearing into anyone and everyone until the antis had nothing left to say. People assumed it was the account of SAB's own entry fragger. After all, he'd once famously gone toe-to-toe with haters for two days and two nights. Entry fragger Wei Xun was also online, quick to post on Weibo. Kick the Cripple's Good Leg: ^-^ Thanks for asking. I only ever flame people from my main account. Netizens: Wait, don't let that garbled name fool you! He claims to be defending SAB, but he only likes Gu Ting's posts! Netizens: Ha, trying to confuse everyone, are you? Kick the Cripple's Good Leg sent Gu Ting a message with a screenshot attached: Captain, your die-hard fan is really something (⊙o⊙)! Gu Ting: (^.^)? Bonus skit: Gu Ting: The user called AAA Building Materials Boss Wang, please stop flaming me. Netizen: No, I'll keep doing it! Gu Ting: All right, then just don't go too hard. Netizen: What if I do go too hard? Gu Ting: All right. You Er's perspective: You Er: I like you. Gu Ting: I don't like you. You Er: Then I'll pursue you. Gu Ting: You can't. You Er: Hey, I'll pursue you anyway. Gu Ting: Fine by me. SAB: Sweep All Before One Reader's Guide: 1. A competitive keyboard-and-mouse shooter game, drawing inspiration from CF, PUBG, Delta Force, and Valorant, with some original worldbuilding. 2. The story centers on the protagonist. The romance develops more slowly than the career storyline. 3. Strong x strong, mutually exclusive, one-on-one, happy ending. P.S. "Success need not be mine, but I will surely have a part in it" is not an original quote, but it seems to come from People's Daily (?). Theme: Pick up the pieces of regret and forge glory anew.
