During his senior year of high school, Yu Ting made a deal with a System that had dropped out of the sky. Armed with a redemption script, he transferred from Beigang to Ning’an to get close to his target, Jiang Jue.

How hard could it be to become Jiang Jue’s good friend?

How hard could it be to take care of Jiang Jue?

Easy!

But at their first meeting, he knocked Jiang Jue flying, and after that he kept causing him trouble again and again:

He didn’t know how to buy groceries, so he just took them out of Jiang Jue’s plastic bag. When he tried to swipe Jiang Jue’s bus card, it turned out the card didn’t have enough money either. He tried to tap on the window with a laundry pole and hit Jiang Jue on the head instead…

Jiang Jue bought him meals and milk tea, tutored him, bought him a scarf, and carefully looked after him whenever he was injured or sick…

Great. He had been redeemed.

But weren’t they supposed to be good friends?

Why was Jiang Jue saying he liked him and wanted to be with him?
