Personal opinions
The Nonhuman Gems I’ve Read Over the Years
Nonhumans of all kinds, including dragons, insectoids, lotus flowers, other species, and cats
Mutual-Doting Stories, Saved for Personal Use
Includes both top and bottom protagonists. Only mutual-pampering couples; some stories lean slightly one way. I love clingy couples who are equally devoted to each other. Dealbreakers: bland characters, weak bedroom skills, everyone falling for one character, and stock-picking romances.
Read List 4
A reading list for all my varied tastes
Pure Love
Just keeping track. Mostly top-focused danmei, with spoiled and doting tops; mutual pampering is good too. I like strong couples, beautiful characters, and good plots. I don't like overly clingy romances, and I'm not keen on tops doting on bottoms.
More of What I Like, Vol. 2
The last list filled up, so I'm starting a new one.
Top-Centric 1V1 Stories
I'm usually on the top's side, but there's not much to choose from. I don't give one or two stars; three stars means I really don't recommend it. Four stars means it was okay, but I wouldn't reread it. Five stars means it totally hits my preferences!
Top-Dom Male Lead Collection 3
Great writing, a great plot, or both
Top-Dom Protagonists, Trying to Keep Things Fair
I stick to pure romance with one couple, and no love-triangle chaos, one-sided crushes, or multi-person ambiguity! I don't read dark, obsessive, possessive types. I'm an ultimate sweet-romance fan. Dog-training fiction is a hard no for me.
Top-Focused Recommendations
Mainly seme-focused stories of various types, all personal favorites.
Perfect for a Reading Slump, Fresh Every Time
Stories with either a pursuing or pursued male lead, few without romance or with straight romance, varied kinks and a wide range of genres. These are based on years of reading. Updates whenever I feel like it.
Seme-Centric Mutual-Doting Stories, Ongoing
I'm all for couples spoiling each other, though sometimes I lean a little toward the shou. I love seeing couples being affectionate and I'm here for the romance. I don't want to think too hard or read anything mentally taxing. Feel free to ask questions or discuss the books, dears.
Strong Bottoms and Handsome Bottoms
The characters are all strong and handsome bottoms. Strong bottoms are the one and only criterion, and handsome bottoms are the next level. I'll recommend as many as I've read.
Male-Lead Stories with Handsome Leads Who Spoil Each Other
No particular character preference; I'm all about pure love. There are lots of stories with the top as the focus. I love beautiful tops and handsome bottoms, but not exclusively. Absolutely no KK, and no insect stuff. If I don't say otherwise, I've bought the whole book. I'll keep updating this.
Qi Kou's Bookshelf
I’m a picky omnivore who prefers top characters. I’m perfectly fine with updates once a month, once a year, or once in a lifetime.
Stories with Handsome, Muscular Bottoms (Beautiful and Strong)
Both top and bottom roles. There may be descriptions of handsome characters, so don't read if that bothers you.
Top-Lead Novels I've Read in Recent Years
Come on in if you ship couples; anyone who polices ships, go away. My preferences: power couples, enemies to lovers, and extremely mutual feelings.
Recommended Top-Perspective Stories (Completed)
Finished, fully purchased, reread multiple times, and focused on the gong. My tastes: muscular or strong shou, power couples, beautiful but strong characters. I prefer mutual devotion, status differences, non-human characters, romance between able-bodied characters, and hurt/comfort. Updated irregularly.
The Protagonist Is a Top, Not a Top-Control Freak, Just Helpless Against Bottom-Controlled Authors
For fellow dealbreaker-watchers: just check the reader comment IDs to solve 99% of your problems. Anyone get me?
Recommendations: Beautiful Tops, Strong Bottoms, Handsome Bottoms, and Muscular Bottoms I Like
I’ve finished every book on this list. I’ll note any plot points I personally didn’t like. A four-star rating doesn’t mean I disliked a book; it just means I can’t give everything five stars.
Top-Dom Recommendations, All Great Reads
Everything I recommend is something I thought was pretty good, with solid writing. Trust my taste, folks. I've been reading male-protagonist stories for six years. I only read devoted couples, one-on-one.
Great Reads
Great
A Hearty Helping of Two Men Spoiling Each Other
Anyone who understands what these two men have going on is already in tears. Seme-focused mutual pampering, hehehe. There's only one uke-focused mutual-pampering story. Basically, neither one's perspective is neglected.

Finished reading! I really enjoyed reading it in one go. I originally thought it would be a very relaxing and healing episode. At the beginning, I felt that Cang Yong's brain circuit was very strange, and he could really make others so angry that they couldn't speak. But later on, I found out that people are dying all the time. No matter how many times they appear in the past, they may die later, or it is for profit, ideals, position, and family. Fortunately, the novel is from Cang Yong's perspective, and it is more warm. Xiong is really great! Leopards are really cute! I thought the ending would be spectacular, but the battle ended in a mediocre way. But mediocrity is good enough. My wife wrote it beautifully! Finished spreading flowers!
I flipped through the teacher's earliest book, and found out that the first article I read about Jinjiang was actually written by you. Later I changed the number and forgot the title of the article. It's such a fate. Did the teacher change his name?
I'm full of questions about the newly changed name of the wife in the collection, and it's not you. I mean, boss, did you really get thrown over your shoulder by a slipper?
The cutest, cutest and most meaningful novel I have ever read, thank you for the story of the little bear and the big cat written by Dada 💛 💛 💜 💜 😭 😭 But what about the white peacock and his ending?
But there seem to be only so many main writers (eyes closed)
Oops, this is my favorite article I've read this year. It's delicious in every aspect. The minister and the bear are really two cute creatures. . . . [Purple Sugar]kswl
Finished spreading flowers!! Because I was too afraid of seeing my favorite characters die, I skipped a lot and only watched the first half. Xiong Xiong and Leopard were very good!!
Congratulations on finishing it. It's been a long time since I finished it. I just finished it today. Happy Leopard Bear 🎆
Why did you finish reading it? Wow ah ah ah ah it tastes so good…
That's great. I thought the sect would have more scenes 🐶
