Marrying into the Butcher’s Family

Coming soon: The Hunter's Son-in-Law

Blurb: A scheming, clingy younger gong x a dark-skinned, straightforward, sturdy shou

Zhou Ning of Great Poplar Village is getting married. He's tall, unlike most young men of his kind, and despite going on many matchmaking dates, he has never found a husband. His father, Zhou the Butcher, has plenty of money, so he decides to bring in a son-in-law instead.

When Shen Linchuan wakes up, someone is carrying him home. The person carrying him is a young man of his kind. He soon realizes that he's become a scholar with the same name, and he's due to be married tomorrow!

The scholar lives with his elder brother and sister-in-law. Having passed the lowest level of the imperial examinations, he takes it easy and refuses to do a lick of farmwork, leaving the household destitute. At his wits' end, Shen Linchuan's elder brother pushes him into marrying into the Zhou family.

Shen Linchuan remembers that after marrying into the Zhou family, the scholar still doesn't behave himself. He claims he's going to town to study, but really he just eats, drinks, and has fun.

Then he runs off with the family's money, leaving Zhou Ning to be mocked by the villagers. Zhou Ning's father works himself to death, and the Zhou family's property is swallowed up by the second branch of the family!

Newly transmigrated Shen Linchuan: Buddy, I'm straight!

Shen Linchuan after getting married: Ning-ge, come cuddle with me ^3^

Shen Linchuan can't believe how ungrateful his predecessor was. Why run away? This young man is wonderful! He'll study hard, pass the examinations for the scholar and the juren degrees, and give his family a good life!

Wedding Night Skit

Newly married Shen Linchuan has a problem. His husband has broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long legs. His chest is so beautiful that Shen Linchuan can't help wanting to bite it. His husband is not only strong, but seems to be even taller than him!

And in bed, his husband gets the upper hand. That won't do! He has to work out: carry water, practice boxing, and train with a sword!

That night, Shen Linchuan lies on his husband's chest. Zhou Ning pats his clingy husband. "Impressive. Keep it up, and we can have a baby soon!"

Shen Linchuan nearly spits blood. They've been married for three days! Can he at least be the one doing the hard work?

Huo Zhu's mother is delighted. This is perfect! He's handsome, and he can marry into their family!
