[Upcoming Historical Romance: The Golden Sparrow Terrace (Synopsis below)]
Synopsis of this novel
The first thing Qiao Qingyuan did after being reborn was call off her engagement to the Ke family.
Ke Yi came from a prestigious family, was a talented statesman, and was handsome, upright, self-disciplined, and uninterested in women.
But he treated everyone equally and was so scrupulously fair that he seemed heartless. He was so strict that even the old matriarch and the emperor had to endure his lectures. How could she, Qiao Qingyuan, possibly be an exception?
She had spent a whole lifetime on edge, living as a respectful but distant couple. Qingyuan had had enough. She wasn't marrying him!
-
After being reborn, Ke Yi did everything he could to follow the matchmaker to the Qiao family and ask for Qingyuan's hand.
He was many years older than Qingyuan, and hopeless at expressing himself. In his heart, he called her "Yuanyuan" ten thousand times, but had no idea how to address her aloud.
Qingyuan was gentle and shy, and kept everything in perfect order. She seemed to have no need for him to worry about her. All he could do was check in on her from time to time, but even that became a habit he couldn't give up.
After Qingyuan died, he often felt lost. He was a good minister to the court and a good chancellor to His Majesty, but he had never been a good husband.
He owed Qingyuan so much.
When he reached the Qiao home, he couldn't enter through the front gate, so he sneaked in through a side entrance.
But before he could get inside, he saw his formerly shy and dignified wife throwing a tantrum on the ground. "Go ahead and beat me to death! Even if you beat me to death, I still won't marry that stone-faced old man! How old is he? Maybe he's already impotent!"
-
That very night, Chancellor Ke studied the Illustrated Manual of the Art of Love ten times. He rubbed his face in front of a mirror and practiced grinning.
The ministers were all amazed. The chancellor, who never smiled, had been grinning all the time lately. But why did his smile look so creepy...? Had handling the affairs of state driven him mad?

Upcoming novel: The Golden Sparrow Terrace
Wan Dai's parents died when she was young, and she had lived with the Cui family for as long as she could remember.
The Cui elders treated her as their own, and she and the Cui family's eldest son had grown up together as childhood sweethearts. They should have married once they were old enough,
but they had grown up following their maternal uncle, Cui Zhi. Since he had never married, they didn't feel they could marry first.
Their uncle, Cui Zhi, was always strict, and Wan Dai was afraid of him. Especially after he caught her reading that sort of romance novel and punished her for it, she became even more afraid...
Using propriety between men and women as an excuse, Wan Dai tried to avoid him. But her uncle started showing up even more often. She could run into him just walking around the garden.
She especially felt that her uncle's gaze was growing more and more intense, and she was so frightened that she didn't dare leave her room.
One day, when she finally heard he was going out, Wan Dai decided to get some fresh air.
But she ran right into him at the corner of the covered walkway. So startled that she dropped her handkerchief, she watched it land squarely on his face.
He took it off without expression and held it out to her. Wan Dai hurried to take it, but he wouldn't let go!
After a long pause, Wan Dai's face flushed. She stammered, "Y-you, you shouldn't take advantage of your age!"
Cui Zhi approached with a dark expression. Wan Dai was so shocked that she forgot she could let go. She stared at him, clutching the handkerchief and tugging as hard as she could.
But Cui Zhi suddenly let go. Wan Dai stumbled backward, about to fall into the lotus pond...
Suddenly, a large hand scooped her up. A low voice sounded almost right against her ear. "Xiao Dai, is this how your uncle taught you to behave?"
Her breath caught. She braced both hands against her uncle's chest and looked up at his half-smiling eyes, her heart almost stopping.
"If you dare speak so disrespectfully to your uncle again, he'll have to punish you again."
1. One-on-one, both leads are virgins.
2. A tale of scheming and possessive love.
3. The male lead is genuinely sinister.
4. Seven-year age gap.
Theme: The dew gathers on the jade, the zither's strings are renewed, and light breaks through the willows.
That's fine, neither is it broken or established. If there is no separation between the past lives, the two people can indeed be happy according to the way the male protagonist is doing now, or they can live well according to the way the female protagonist is doing, but unfortunately, neither of them is the same person in the previous life, and what they want in this relationship has changed. And I feel that the male protagonist in this life seems different from the previous life, but in fact they are all the same. If the female protagonist is stubborn, then the male protagonist has always acted according to his own wishes, because his indifference in the previous life made him lose the heroine, so he chooses to be more enthusiastic in this life. If this road goes dark, if I have to do it again, I will choose another completely different path, but I only ignore the changes in the female protagonist. The most important thing to the female protagonist is the aborted child in her previous life and her own death, because in her eyes the male protagonist has not been reborn, and no one has ever answered her questions about her in the previous life. The longer she stays with the male protagonist, the better he treats her, and the more she seems to be a joke in her previous life. Why did she care so much about him in her previous life but ended up with that result? She has always refused and been cold in this life but can get the enthusiasm of the male protagonist. Come on, let's talk 🤷 But I really don't like the misunderstanding between the male protagonist and the female protagonist. The female protagonist is originally a very warm and friendly person to others, just like she was to the male protagonist in her previous life.
It feels like this is a flash point and a breakthrough point. The previous peaceful coexistence seems to be the silence before the explosion. If they keep pretending to be nice and don't reveal their inner conflicts, they won't be able to act like true lovers.
Hahaha, it's so funny that the male protagonist speaks dirty words in a serious manner [crying with laughter]
The heroine's eldest brother gave me a heart attack because he had so many scenes. I really couldn't tell how much he cared about the heroine. Instead, he felt like he would sink her into the pond if she didn't follow the rules.
The two of them felt like they were talking to each other for a long time, and they didn't know what to say. They felt that the heroine was quite cool, but they also felt that it was wrong to go too far without having experienced her experience. They felt that it was a bad deal.
I feel like this book is just about the back-and-forth between husband and wife and some fun 😂. Sometimes it feels a bit depressing when I read it. I don't know how to resolve the issues between them 😂
The heroine's eldest brother is really annoying…
It's really funny when two people say these things seriously 🐶
Subject 1 turned into a sultry man after being reborn 😂
Xiaoqian 🐶 the heroine is really going to die 😂
