Cold, scheming supervisor x chuunibyou sunshine mermaid. Strong Alpha and Omega pairing, older man raises younger partner.

Qi Lian, son of a top executive at the Anomaly Control Bureau, is an S-rank mermaid ability user. He unexpectedly differentiates as an Omega, loses control of his ability, and sleeps with the Alpha supervisor who raised him.

Once he comes to his senses, Qi Lian uses his ability to put the Alpha to sleep, then enters a contamination zone alone. He becomes a contamination hunter, keeping track of the days when he might lose control.

As an Omega, Qi Lian is terrifyingly strong, but he sometimes loses control. Even he can't say when he might completely lose his reason.

As if things weren't bad enough, after nearly being split open by a low-level contaminant, Qi Lian discovers that he's freaking pregnant!

And the baby's father is watching him grimly from not far away.

Qi Lian: ...

Qin Yan is head of the Anomaly Control Bureau's research institute. He supervises Qi Lian, an S-rank mermaid ability user, but he's an Alpha with no ability of his own.

Not having an ability is fine. Researching medicine to suppress contaminants is also a way to serve the people. But then his research subject differentiates and suddenly loses control. To suppress the out-of-control mermaid's ability, Qin Yan has no choice but to forcibly mark him.

When he wakes up, his partner has run off.

He even left a farewell note: “I'm heading to the contamination zone to chop up contaminants and make a name for myself. Don't miss me!”

Qin Yan gets so angry that he awakens his ability.

Without another word, Qin Yan takes a mission to the contamination zone. From a distance, he sees the little brat he raised nearly dying at the hands of a contaminant!

The little brat even yells at him: “Didn't you say you had no ability? What are you doing here?!”

Qin Yan grabs Qi Lian by the wrist and laughs coldly. “What do you think? My Omega ran away, so I've lost my home. My research subject ran away, so I've lost my job. And now I've awakened an ability. If I don't go out on missions, who will?”

Later, when Qin Yan learns that Qi Lian is pregnant, he wordlessly splits three high-level contaminants in two. The team behind him trembles in fear.

Team members: Captain Qin, you're not going to split us in two as well, are you?

Qi Lian: Don't worry, I've got him under control!

Team members: That makes us even more worried!

[Little bonus scene]

Once everything is settled, Qin Yan drags Qi Lian back to the main city.

The news quickly reaches Qi Lian's family.

His parents: Our son is back?

His parents again: What do you mean, our grandson is back too?!

Qi Lian: Haha, surprise! Your son gave you a chubby little mermaid grandson!

Qin Yan gets straight to the point: Dad.

His parents: ???

#You mean our son, who was sent to your research institute at thirteen to help suppress contamination, just differentiated and got pregnant?!#
