The Movie Star's Little Assistant

He Li was the only girl among her generation in the He family. Her relatives eagerly taught her all their special skills, and every day she did nothing but eat, sleep, and learn. In the end, she worked herself to death.

When she opened her eyes again, she had become the assistant to Yi Jing, an obscure male entertainer. Given a second life, all she wanted was to lie flat. Unexpectedly, she became bound to a System: she could only leave once the entertainer became a Best Actor.

Looking at the handsome man before her, she knew that although he was beautiful, he had nothing going for him besides his looks. To leave as soon as possible, He Li put all the skills she'd learned to use, bringing out one trick after another.

When Yi Jing was too low-ranking to afford a makeup artist, He Li washed her hands and used the makeup techniques her aunt had taught her to create his best look.

When Yi Jing couldn't afford a photographer to shoot promotional material, He Li rolled up her sleeves and personally took the photos using the photography skills her uncle had taught her.

When Yi Jing's health gave out from staying up late to film, He Li washed her hands and used the traditional Chinese medicine techniques her grandfather had taught her to help him recover.

And so she worked diligently for years. The once obscure entertainer finally became a Best Actor, and she could at last retire after a job well done. But just as she was about to leave, someone blocked the doorway…
