A razor-sharp, teasing heroine who can deduce everything from the smallest clues x a hero who pretends to be a green-tea type, but is always seen through because he doesn't want to deceive her
Ye Shiwei is the illegitimate daughter of the Chancellor's household. Cast out as a child, she grew up wandering from temple to temple.
Only her elder half-sister, Ye Jingyuan, treated her with heartfelt kindness, often sneaking out of the manor to visit her.
One day, after transmigrating, Ye Shiwei learns how their story ends.
She makes a prestigious marriage, earning wealth, honor, and a noble title.
Her elder sister, however, grows jealous and turns against her. Her husband comes to despise her, and she dies a violent death.
Ye Shiwei doesn't believe it.
Her elder sister is clearly the best person in the world.
Calling her a peerless celestial being would be no exaggeration.
After returning, she tells her sister what she has learned.
Together, they decide to change the course of their fate.

Zhao Xunzhen is reborn and rushes to the capital without pause, searching for the bond he missed in his previous life because he arrived too late.
After asking around at the temple, he learns that she has returned to the Chancellor's residence.
Panicking, Zhao Xunzhen takes advantage of the household's search for "Mr. Wu" and gets himself hired there.
*
The Chancellor's household holds a coming-of-age ceremony for the young lady who has just returned home.
Ye Shiwei receives countless fine gifts, but the one that interests her most is a person.
His name is Zhao Xunzhen. Though a martial hero, he dresses like a scholar.
A bright red mole at the corner of his eye catches the light.
On the day of her coming-of-age ceremony, he gives her a wrist-mounted crossbow he made himself.
Later, he tells her:
"I was reborn just to find you."
"To make up for the bond that fate never allowed us to fulfill."
Ye Shiwei asks him:
"How did you die?"
"And how did we miss each other?"
He answers:
"I was too late."
"By then, you had already married someone else."
He answers the second question without hesitation, but avoids the first.
Ye Shiwei knows the truth, though.
Zhao Xunzhen died for her.
That red mole at the corner of his eye wasn't there before.
It was blood splashed on him as he died, mingling with the tears she shed.

Blurb for Mutual Devotion:
Three days before her wedding, Qi Yuchun slips and falls into the water. She transmigrates by accident and discovers a shocking truth.
Her fiance is a refined gentleman on the surface, but cruel and violent in private.
Within a year of their marriage, Qi Yuchun is worn down to a shadow of herself and dies of illness.
No way!
Unable to break off the engagement, Qi Yuchun packs her things and runs.
On the road, she meets a pale-faced scholar.
The scholar is down on his luck, pale, and so hungry his stomach is rumbling, yet his eyes are bright and lively.
He's cheerful and open, showing no embarrassment at all as he walks over with a broad smile and asks Qi Yuchun if she has anything to eat.
Qi Yuchun shares half her flatbread with him.
The scholar says, "I'm the Prince of Changle. You saved me today, so I'll grant you one wish."
What kind of prince is this miserable? Qi Yuchun doesn't believe him, but still asks quietly, "My fiance isn't a good person, and I don't want to marry him. Will you come and steal me away?"
The scholar is stunned. By the time he comes to his senses, Qi Yuchun has already galloped away, leaving only a trail of swirling dust and the light sound of her laughter.
*
Qi Yuchun's escape fails, and she is caught and brought back on the eve of her wedding.
With security tightened, she can no longer run, so she has no choice but to marry first and make another plan later.
On the day of the wedding,
the carriage suddenly stops halfway to its destination.
There is a commotion outside. Then someone lifts the curtain and raises her bridal veil.
A familiar smiling face appears before her.
Han Jiangxue holds out a hand and winks. "We had a deal. I'm here to steal you away."
*
Han Jiangxue never expected that one impulsive trip away from home would truly infuriate his imperial brother, leaving him stranded on the streets, hungry and penniless.
Fortunately, a kind woman shares half her flatbread with him.
He promises to come and steal her away.
The two are married halfway through their journey, and barely know each other.
Sometimes they treat each other with formal respect; sometimes their life together is a complete mess. Still, their days are easy and fun.
Until his elder brother dies suddenly, and an imperial edict puts Han Jiangxue on the throne.
Overcome with grief, Han Jiangxue drifts through his days in a daze.
Then, amid the swirling snow, beneath a slanting plum branch,
Qi Yuchun walks toward him and reaches out, her smile faint and gentle. "Don't be afraid. You still have me."
After the new emperor takes the throne, the ministers submit petitions.
They argue that the former Princess of Changle has humble origins and is unfit to be empress, and that someone else should be chosen for the position.
The next day in court, Han Jiangxue appears with Qi Yuchun at his side.
The ministers notice a golden throne carved with a phoenix beside the dragon throne.
The new emperor declares, "From this day on, the empress and I shall rule as equals."
