My Grandma Is a Landlady in Hong Kong [The 1970s]

The year Li Rongrong turned eighteen, something happened to her grandparents.

Her parents stayed behind to face it alongside them, but couldn't bear to let their children suffer.

They had no choice but to ask a friend to take Li Rongrong and her three siblings to Hong Kong to find their maternal grandmother.

The boat capsized while crossing the river. They all died.

Reborn, Li Rongrong still supports her parents' decision.

Because this time around, she's gained a strange new ability.

She lives in a story set in the era of the dragon-like male lead. The male lead is her cousin, and the female leads are her female cousins-in-law.

Her family is nothing but a bunch of insignificant cannon fodder.

But it doesn't matter.

She can see both the world of the living and the world of the dead, and hear the cries of wronged spirits.

She prepares a month in advance and has her grandmother meet them by the river.

Soon, Hong Kong has a little landlady on its hands.

She spends her days sleeping in and collecting rent, and helps the police solve cases when she has nothing better to do.

It doesn't take long for a powerful man to take notice of her.

He's the original story's main villain, whose greatest ambition is to become the richest man in the world.

In the end, her male cousin kills him and takes over all his property.

One day, Li Rongrong returns from collecting rent with her grandmother and finds a gloomy-looking man sitting in the living room.

His mother is especially welcoming. She takes Li Rongrong's hand and asks, "Rongrong, I hear you're really good at collecting rent. How about becoming my daughter-in-law and collecting rent for my family?"

Li Rongrong refuses, but the villainous tycoon is far too clingy.

Today he gives her a mansion, tomorrow a luxury car, and the day after that he proposes to her on television.

Before their marriage is even remotely settled, Li Rongrong is already known to everyone as the tycoon's landlady daughter-in-law.

Damn it, fed up, Li Rongrong corners him outside the TV station.

"You want me to marry you? Fine, but we need three rules!"

The tycoon obediently listens to her lecture.

Before long, everyone is stunned. The ruthless, decisive tycoon has become a complete henpecked husband!

He's good enough in the kitchen to make a meal, and tough enough to beat up delinquent tenants. Well, there's a match for every pot.
