Raft Farming, Starting with a Coconut

Lin Qingwu, the leading disciple of the Spirit Plant Peak of Xuantian Sect, failed her tribulation and shattered her Golden Core.

When she woke up, she was lying on a broken wooden raft, with a shriveled coconut beside her.

And a survival ranking that was hanging by a thread.

Out of one hundred thousand players, she ranked 99,999th.

Luckily, she still had her Wood Spirit Root.

It could make a fresh coconut grow plump with coconut water, and it could also cultivate plants, fungi, and algae.

The System saw that she refused to upgrade her raft and did nothing but farm, and called it "low-value behavior."

Lin Qingwu smiled serenely. "Value? I'm the one who decides what's valuable."

She didn't care. She would keep farming.

Later, other players' rafts became ships, and their ships became battleships and fortresses...

Only Lin Qingwu's was still a raft, just as it had been from the beginning.

Except her raft seemed to be just a tiny bit different from ordinary rafts.

Later still, the System's vehicle rankings refreshed:

[Raft Class] Current number of players: 1.

Someone asked in the world channel, "Why is she still using a raft?"

A hater replied, "Who knows? She's probably just terrible."

Other players: "Terrible? She's number one on the rankings! Terrible?"

The hater had nothing to say and went silent.

Someone else asked, "I heard there's a tree growing on that raft?"

Someone answered, "A tree? You're not thinking big enough, friend. She's already planted a whole forest on her raft. She raises fish and birds, too, along with all kinds of strange things."

Another player chimed in, "That's right. I even saw someone show up at her door and leave happily carrying a lump of poop. Apparently it had seeds or fungi or something in it."

Another agreed, "It's true. The mushrooms she grows can dance. Watching a mushroom dance adds fifty points to your mental stamina. It's awesome."

Other players: ??? Are you sure you didn't hallucinate from eating those mushrooms?

Later still, everyone wanted to get into the [Raft Class].

This kind of self-contained ecological raft was incredible!

Today, one person came to buy seeds from her; tomorrow, another came for potting soil; the day after, someone else came for spores.

As for her raft, it's been imitated but never surpassed.

Much later, she rode her island-sized raft into the sky.

Other players: ??? If I remember right, isn't this a maritime survival game?

Lin Qingwu: Isn't it called Raft Survival?

Other players: It is, but...

Lin Qingwu: Just tell me, is the thing flying in the sky a raft or not?

Hater: ...If you're so capable, why not go plant things on the moon?

Lin Qingwu: Good idea! Let me first find out if it's possible to farm on the moon.

Theme: Be self-reliant and never give up.
