Jing Tana transmigrated to the Qing dynasty during the Kangxi era on a mission, becoming Yongzheng's full sister and the future Princess Gurun Wenxian.
In the twenty-seventh year of Kangxi's reign, Xuanye had just won the Battle of Yaksa and was celebrating with a family banquet in the inner palace. The Empress Dowager was there with Tana, whom she had raised herself.
Xuanye was in high spirits when he heard a strange female voice ring through the hall:
[What's there to be happy about? Your translator is a traitor, leaking information about the Great Qing to Russia. In the end, you lost a huge chunk of territory and never got it back. A victory in name, but a defeat in reality.]
Xuanye's smile slowly vanished. He looked toward the source of the voice, only to see his six-year-old daughter wearing the same bewildered expression.
The strange female voice called itself the "Online Class System" and said it would teach his underachieving daughter. She needed to earn 10,000 credits before it could take her back to the modern era after she died at twenty.
The Online Class System immediately started critiquing Tana's brothers:
[First Prince: The Great Qing's patron saint of childbirth. He may be great at archery and horsemanship, but one cannonball from the Eight-Nation Alliance will blow him away.
Second Prince: The two-time dethroned and twice-restored crown prince, a record-holder among crown princes.
Third Prince: His literary skills are as poor as his political savvy. He'd be better off learning to write books from Pu Songling.
Fourth Prince: He does the hardest work and gets the harshest criticism. The Old Emperor gave you the Old Summer Palace, and the Anglo-French allied forces burned it down.
Eighth Prince: Your line dies out after five generations under one roof. But don't worry, you won't live to see it.
Ninth Prince: He's good at making money, but his abilities are mediocre. He won't earn enough to pay Japan reparations. Besides, the Qing court has to pay reparations to eight countries...]
Tana: "So basically, only Father has good luck?"
[Not necessarily. A grave robber's tunnel was dug into Jingling. Kangxi's remains were left exposed to the wind and sun, and soaked in filthy water. The tunnel was sealed before you arrived, but the remains are still soaking in a hot spring~]
Tana looked up and immediately began shrieking: "Imperial Father! Eldest Brother! Second Brother! Fourth Brother, Eighth Brother, Ninth Brother! Why have you all fainted? Was there poison in the banquet?!"

* Important:
[Not a Qing dynasty fan, and not a history major. This is an alternate-history version of the Great Qing, set in a parallel world. The characters may differ from their historical counterparts.]
[I'm still upset that the Great Qing began losing territory after the Battle of Yaksa. The story starts before the Treaty of Nerchinsk is signed and goes through the Industrial Revolution and the People's Revolution, eventually reaching modern socialism. The tragic outcome of the Nine Dragons' Succession Battle is revealed early, changing the course of this world's development. There will be no Nine Dragons' Succession Battle. They will all work on the Industrial Revolution, and the Fourth Prince will rise to power by working himself to the bone.]
[The historical Princess Gurun Wenxian's original name was not recorded. "Tana" means "Eastern Pearl" in Mongolian. Many Manchu words share roots with Mongolian, and "Eastern Pearl" is also "Tana" in Manchu. The Manchus valued eastern pearls and set them into the crowns and ornaments that represented power and prestige. Considering how much favor Princess Gurun Wenxian enjoyed, the author named her "Tana." ]
