Breaking the Vows

In the future, genetic mutations and the arrival of alien species have turned the world into a jungle of mechanical demons.

Demon hunters have become the most popular profession.

Wei Yu comes from a family of demon hunters. He travels from a remote satellite city to the central star city in search of the legendary snake demon with a human face.

When he was eleven, he left home to study. Upon returning, he discovered that demons had slaughtered everyone in his town.

From then on, he took up his father's magical weapon and began a long pursuit of the killer and quest for revenge.

The world's foremost demon-hunting institution is naturally the Jialan Institute.

The new abbot's dharma name is Chanlan. It is said that he has profound cultivation, but is cold and merciless.

Chanlan had once met Wei Yu. At the time, he had accompanied his master on his first journey outside the monastery and come across the massacre of the Wei family.

When they met again ten years later, the young boy with a face full of tears and hatred had become a cheerful young man, standing before him once more.

He didn't recognize Chanlan and bowed respectfully. “Master Chanlan.”

Chanlan lowered his eyes. Good. He hoped the young man had forgotten his pain.

That was until the young man, serving as his protector, slew a demon for the first time, drenched in blood and looking crazed.

Chanlan is the top (he has hair, he's not bald). This story is top-focused!
