The Pharaoh's Priest

Before transmigrating, Chen Cheng was an ordinary sophomore in college.

Now, he is the only son of an ordinary general serving the throne of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. He is six years old, and his name is Praemesis.

His father spends most of the year away at war, and his mother died young.

He lives year-round with his nanny in Avaris, a backwater town in Egypt, eating grapes and crocodile meat. His greatest worries are learning to read and the little ball of fluff that appeared on his shoulder after he came down with a fever. When will it finally disappear?

Then one day, the young general Horemheb, from Upper Egypt, barges into his quiet country life.

It turns out this isn't ordinary Egypt. It's Egypt with superpowers!

His little fluffball is a priestly ability in the process of awakening. One day, he'll be able to command his spirit animal to summon wind and rain!

Maybe it'll be a great lion, or a beautiful leopard?

"How about coming to Upper Egypt? You can be my high priest!" the young general coaxes him.

When the two first meet, the gong is 14 and the shou is 6. There is no romance at that point; the romantic storyline begins when they are adults.
