Coming soon: "Fish in the Ravine" and "Flawed Bone." Blurbs below. [Psychogenic mutism shou & retired soldier gong] [Traveling amateur painter & bartender] [Road-trip story / size difference] "Two souls never meet by chance." After they get together, Qi Siwu makes a point of helping Huan Shizhen practice speaking. Night is when one's defenses are easiest to break through. Qi Siwu grips his chin and murmurs teasingly into his ear, "Be good. Say one complete sentence, and I'll let you go." Huan Shizhen resists his own voice and hates speaking, but he can't withstand the storm raging behind him, either. His eyes brim with tears, the corners reddened. Trembling, he makes a broken sound. "Qi Siwu... Brother Qi... let me go..." It's the most complete sentence he's managed in recent days. He is met with heavier raindrops and more violent waves. He's a little boat, and Qi Siwu is the officer at the helm, steering him in whatever direction he chooses. Amid the rocking waves, he thinks that Brother Qi is a liar. But he likes it. After returning to Jingjiang, Peng Wei is curious how Huan Shizhen managed to overcome years of trauma and start speaking. Huan Shizhen looks away, cheeks faintly red, and stammers, "Well... he exercises with me, and when I can't keep going, he makes me ask him to stop." Peng Wei suddenly understands. "Exercise is good for your physical and mental health. That explains it." Huan Shizhen guiltily lowers his head. This kind of exercise isn't that kind of exercise. [Both have only ever been with each other & happy ending] ----- Blurb for the upcoming novel "Flawed Bone" ----- [Dancing shoes x black leather shoes] [Mixed-race sweetheart dance student shou x seemingly ascetic CEO gong] [Both are skilled flirts, each baiting the other] Inside the dance studio on the top floor of a suburban villa, Jiang Muyao braces both hands on the barre as Qin Haofeng moves close behind him. He grips the slender waist and asks with a soft laugh, "Muyao, Yaoyao, do you know what the Mu in your name means?" Jiang Muyao bites his lip and says nothing. Qin Haofeng laughs and reaches out to wipe the tears from the corner of his eye. His large hand closes over the fair hand gripping the barre. "It describes sweat pouring down like rain." He looks at the reflection in the full-length mirror. "Just like you now, Yaoyao." A shrill horn suddenly sounds outside, drowning out the faintest sobs in the room. That evening, after being kicked out of the bedroom, Qin Haofeng obediently takes his pillow to the study.
