She'll Raise Pigs to Keep Me

Chu Yang had always thought she was a little unlucky, but she never expected to be this unlucky.

All she did was try to hike across a certain route for an adventure. She ran into a wild animal, got injured, tumbled down a slope, and transmigrated into a novel set in ancient times, becoming an unregistered nobody with no name or family record...

Ancient times... Is that any place for a modern person to live?

The one bit of luck was that she was rescued by a woman named Cheng Jiangan, a pig butcher who was also the protagonist of this novel...

-

In the original story, Cheng Jiangan was born with incredible strength. Armed with nothing but a butcher's knife, she'd fought her way through mountains of corpses. Her ruthless reputation was enough to make children cry, but now...

Chu Yang watched her earnestly washing her underwear, curling her toes in embarrassment...

How on earth did things end up like this?!

Wasn't she supposed to be a terrifying demon? Why didn't Chu Yang feel that way at all?

And besides, she'd said... that they could make a good life together, and it wouldn't be so bad?!

-

But wasn't Cheng Jiangan supposed to be in love with someone in the original story? Chu Yang couldn't shake the strange feeling that she was getting between them.

That feeling grew stronger when she saw a sachet hidden deep in Cheng Jiangan's wardrobe. Cheng Jiangan wasn't good at embroidery, but in the original story she'd personally embroidered a sachet to give to that person.

Chu Yang quietly packed her things and left, but Cheng Jiangan stopped her. Her calm, clear eyes were full of pleading.

"Please don't go. I can butcher pigs, lots and lots of pigs. I can afford to take care of you."

Later, Chu Yang felt that perhaps all the good luck she'd ever had had been saved up for the moment she met Cheng Jiangan.
