Before I Came to Your Door, Nobody Told Me My Wife Was a Demon Hunter

An Nan first met Jian Zinien at her ball-tossing matchmaking ceremony.

An Nan had always been timid, but when she saw the calm, lifeless gaze in Jian Zinien's eyes that day, compassion suddenly stirred in her. Ignoring the insults from everyone around her, she snatched the embroidered ball.

After they married, An Nan couldn't help blushing whenever she looked at her wife's exquisite, beautiful face.

The Jian family, once the foremost family of demon hunters, gradually faded into obscurity and became known to the world as a family of merchants.

By Jian Zinien's generation, disaster had struck, leaving her as the only woman in the family. Everyone eyed her inheritance hungrily, hoping to seize it all. With no other choice, Jian Zinien held a ball-tossing ceremony to find a live-in son-in-law.

What she hadn't expected was that the person who caught the ball would be a slender, slight woman.

And she would blush from time to time when facing Jian Zinien.

The longer they spent together, the more Jian Zinien noticed how adorable she was. Sometimes she would think that if An Nan could shrink, she could take her everywhere.

But when that idea actually came true, she was still startled.

Extra scene:

Looking at An Nan, who had suddenly changed back into her true form.

Jian Zinien: "...You're a rat?!"

An Nan was horrified and hurriedly pointed to her tiny tail. "I'm a golden hamster! A golden hamster with a super short tail!"

Jian Zinien silently took out her family's ancestral demon-slaying sword. "That's still a rat."

An Nan was so angry that her fur stood on end, and she fell over stiff as a board.

When An Nan woke again, she saw Jian Zinien wiping away tears and sprinkling dirt over her, saying that An Nan had scared her to death and she was going to be a widow.

Oh no, she's going to bury me!

Timid, easily flustered little hamster x clever, scheming demon hunter

A few things to know:

* Golden hamsters are a kind of hamster. Hamsters and rats are different species, so they're not the same thing.

* There is a woman-disguised-as-a-man plotline, but the female lead tells the other woman she's a woman when they first meet.
