【Sometimes fierce but actually timid, pampered girl × high-needs jerk and hypocrite】
The year she started high school, Chen Yirou moved into the Liang family’s villa.
Liang Yici was the grandson of her grandfather’s old army buddy, and notorious for being a reckless troublemaker. Dependent on the Liangs’ hospitality, she summoned her courage and called him “Brother Yici.”
Standing on the stairs, he looked down at her with open scorn. “I picked you because I’m not interested in you. I hope you feel the same.”
Chen Yirou pressed her lips together until they went pale, and never called him that again.
But later, he was the one who couldn’t get enough.
Through countless feverish nights, he pinned her beneath him and bit her earlobe, forcing her to say that name again. When he bullied her until her eyes were red and her voice broke into fragments, he would lower his head and lick away her tears, smiling with possessive satisfaction. “Yiyi, beg me and I’ll stop.”
She timidly begged him.
But he only went further. “I lied. When have I ever let you go?”
Liang Yici was a complete pervert.
Chen Yirou was afraid of him, but she had a vague sense of how to soothe him. She learned to rise onto her toes and kiss the corner of his mouth when he was angry. Sometimes he went too far and she would finally snap at him, only for one look from him to put her back in her place.
She was hopelessly timid.
She wanted to escape, and she really did.
-
When they met again, Liang Yici was a rising star in venture capital, aloof and refined, as if the reckless boy from back then had been nothing but a nightmare. She was a financial reporter there to interview him.
They treated each other like strangers.
After the event, a colleague mentioned Chen Yirou’s name in passing. He lowered his eyes and unscrewed a bottle of water, his tone cold. “Who?”
“Never heard of her.”
Chen Yirou thought he had finally moved on. But on the night before her wedding, the man who claimed not to remember her burst into her bridal suite, drenched from the storm and pale as a ghost.
That night, he kept her trapped in the room. Even when she cried herself hoarse, he wouldn’t let her go.
The wedding went ahead the next day, only the groom had changed. The whole room erupted in shock.
Liang Yici forcefully slid a wedding ring onto her ring finger and whispered in her ear:
“Yiyi, I’m your only choice in this life.”
“Now, what should you call me?”
#I want to be the everlasting light in her endless night
Notes:
1. The hero is a deranged pervert with a strong need for control. He loves only the heroine.
2. Their relationship begins when they’re adults. The story opens at an American university, with flashbacks to high school.

Coming next: The compliant, down-to-earth housewife × the sharp-tongued, patriarchal tyrant | The second male lead wins / A scumbag gets what he deserves | Her husband looks down on her, so someone else gets her
Lin Congwei had been married for three years and was about as traditional a woman as they came.
When her husband told her to work as a live-in tutor at his boss’s house, she knocked on the Zong family’s door the very next day.
-
Zong Mingchen’s nephew couldn’t be left alone.
The people sent to the Zong family had been beautiful, glamorous, all sorts, but none of them lasted.
Then one of his subordinates introduced his own wife.
She had an oval face, slender brows, and a soft, gentle voice. Even when she was wronged, she only lowered her head.
Zong Mingchen took one look at her.
She seemed so meek. She wouldn’t last more than a few days.
But before long, his nephew couldn’t be without her, and neither could the Zong family.
The first one to leave was Lin Congwei.
Her husband had cheated on her. She wanted a divorce, but had no idea how she would live afterward.
Zong Mingchen stubbed out his cigarette. “You’re too obedient. It’s no fun. Men won’t like someone like you.”
Seeing Lin Congwei’s face turn deathly pale, he slowly added:
“Stay. I’ll teach you.”
-
Later, Lin Congwei learned to say no, to make men wait, and finally to stop being so compliant. She blossomed into a dazzling flower.
More and more men pursued her, even her ex-husband, who had once treated her like garbage, came back red-eyed to beg her to take him back.
Zong Mingchen sat to one side, watching her coldly.
“After all this time teaching you, all you’ve learned is to jump from one lousy man to another?”
Lin Congwei flushed. “Who I choose is none of your business, Mr. Zong.”
“You’ve even learned to talk back.” Zong Mingchen laughed in exasperation.
“You’ve barely grown a rebellious bone, but you’ve got plenty of nerve when it comes to me.”
-
The first thing he taught her was not to listen to men too much.
Lin Congwei learned the lesson well.
Especially when it came to him.
Theme: Holding hands with you through life’s storms and sunny days
Yiyi, please promise me to keep writing a diary for the next three years [please]
Is the teacher safe now [please] (I don't mean anything else. I'm a bit worried because there has been no news.
I'm here again, please update
I can't see enough. I hope the misunderstanding will be resolved as soon as possible. Even if we are separated, don't let each other feel that we have given up on each other. Let's reunite as soon as possible [crying]
