★ Foster-family romance | Unhinged, obsessive love | Intense push and pull | All-consuming devotion
A gentle, brilliant deaf girl
Outgoing and carefree on the outside ^ twisted and depraved mixed-race guy on the inside
Wen Jiayao’s hearing was damaged by a high fever when she was little, so her family pulled strings to send her abroad for school and treatment.
On her first day at her host family’s home, she was unpacking alone in her new room when a lithe figure suddenly climbed in through the balcony.
His pale skin was dazzling, his features sharply defined, and his post-workout muscles gleamed with sweat, radiating the wild, untamed allure of an aristocrat.
The boy was 1.9 meters tall. His deep blue eyes narrowed with a smile as he asked in a cocky, curious voice:
“Chinese kitty?”
/
Jin Wang is the most captivating star at State University.
A striking Chinese-American mix, with a lean waist and long legs, he spends his time on the court and at the center of every party. His athleticism and academic talent are as exceptional as his looks. He was born to stand out.
Everyone knows that Jin Wang spoils the girl staying at his family’s estate rotten. He has expensive hearing aids custom-made for her, learns sign language for her, and even washes her underwear himself, despite being a Wall Street prince.
But Wen Jiayao alone knows that beneath his dazzling exterior, he’s a twisted, obsessive beast.
“Didn’t I tell you not to cry when we kiss?”
Tears streaked her face. “Brother, I have the right to say no...”
“No, you don’t. You can only have me.”
He is reckless, his morals rotten to the core.
Wen Jiayao struggles to live beneath the shadow of his obsessive, sinister love.
So after her hearing recovers, she secretly books a ticket home with great effort and leaves without a word, never looking back.
-
Several years after returning to China, Wen Jiayao becomes a translator. Her life is peaceful and fulfilling, until she takes a job accompanying her employer in negotiations with an overseas conglomerate.
The moment she sees the man seated across the conference table, she feels as though she’s plunged into an icy abyss.
He is still dazzling and charming, holding the room with his easy conversation. But his expression is distant, and his gaze doesn’t linger on her for even a second.
Wen Jiayao assumes Jin Wang has lost interest in her too, and finally lets herself relax.
After several rounds of drinks in the second half of the evening, Wen Jiayao dozes off. When she wakes, she finds herself in a dim room.
“Yao Yao forgot to say goodbye when she ran away.”
The man stares at her, a glint in his blue eyes, excitement and madness roiling beneath the surface.
“I lied. Even if you had said it, I wouldn’t have let you go.”
“How about we skip the wedding and go straight to being buried together?”
Reader advisory:
1. The leads are each other’s first and only love, and remain faithful throughout.
2. The line about being buried together is a bluff. The characters obey the law, no exceptions.
3. They are not siblings and have no blood or family ties. “Brother” is just a form of address.
4. The heroine’s hearing impairment is fictional and is not meant to offend readers with hearing loss.
5. The hero is obsessive and possessive, with an abnormal state of mind and a love so intense it drives him mad. If that’s not your thing, please don’t force yourself to read it.

My next novel will be To Yingying. Here’s the blurb:
◆【Bratty heroine and obsessive villain | Power reversal | Intense push and pull | Cat-and-mouse game】
●【Down-on-her-luck, pampered paper tiger x cold, obsessive, twisted powerhouse】
When Li Ying was young, her family took someone in.
The boy wore ordinary clothes, but his face was pale and strikingly beautiful, with delicate skin stretched over perfect bone structure, distant brows and eyes, and a straight, elegant nose.
He was aloof and taciturn, a genius both at school and beyond, always outshining her.
Li Ying hated him and took out all her temper on him:
“Tan Yingjian, get down on your knees.”
“Don’t let me see those eyes of yours.”
Whenever the adults weren’t around, she would brazenly plant her foot against Tan Yingjian’s face, looking radiant and arrogant.
“You’re nothing but my dog!”
As fate would have it, years later, the Li family goes bankrupt, and her parents beg the heir of the Tan family to help them.
After hearing them out, the man says coldly, “Tell Li Ying to come beg me.”
So Li Ying’s family turns around and hands her over to Tan Yingjian.
/
The Tan Group has deep roots among the city’s elite through real estate and capital operations. Its heir, Tan Yingjian, is hailed as “the city’s architect.” From the skyline to the horizon, he has built nearly all of Xia Jing City with his own hands.
Everyone knows that when he was young and powerless, he endured no end of abuse and humiliation from Li Ying at her family’s home.
Now that their positions have reversed, Li Ying can only depend on him as his secretary and endure his endless revenge.
At first, all she has to do is serve tea and water and work carefully.
Then everything starts to spiral out of control. Her lips are constantly swollen from his kisses, one dress after another gets torn, and he torments her until she can’t stop crying.
A coworker even catches a glimpse through a half-open door: their boss sits with his legs crossed and merely curls a finger. Secretary Li, eyes red, obediently crawls over and sits in his lap of her own accord.
His voice is cloying and dark:
“Why are you crying? Didn’t you call me Master?”
“Dogs get bitten when they raise one. It’s normal.”
After that, Tan Yingjian grows more and more frightening.
She has to report everywhere she goes, everyone she meets, and everything she does. His control is suffocating.
Li Ying can’t take it anymore. Once she’s saved enough money, she throws down her resignation letter and runs away in the middle of the night.
/
After escaping, Li Ying lets loose and spends months indulging in wine and pleasure.
Then one early morning, she stumbles out of a bar and, in a daze, gets into a Maybach parked at the curb.
Through her blurry vision, the man taps the steering wheel with long fingers. “Had enough fun? Come home.”
Drunk and disoriented, Li Ying lets her nasty side show and grabs his immaculate black hair. “What home? You’re just a stray dog I took in!”
Darkness swirls in Tan Yingjian’s black eyes, and his thin lips slowly curl up.
In the middle of the night, Li Ying is jolted awake, her hands tied.
The man above her has a sharply defined collarbone, his eyes burning with a predatory excitement.
“The stray dog has found Yingying’s door.”
Rotten desire rises like a coffin opening on an old dream. His smile is sick and delighted. “Yingying said I don’t have a home.”
“So I’ll lock Yingying up.”
“Until I build us a home.”
Theme: Work hard and be self-reliant.
