Letter from Hong Kong

[New novel: Far from the Butterflies has begun updating. A powerful Beijing heir x a college girl]

A Hong Kong tabloid has started another rumor: “Top tycoon heir Shang Shao is 36 and unmarried, with no romantic scandals for years. Could he be impotent?”

-

Mainland actress Ying Yin only wants to find a sucker to foot the bill. Then the man worth hundreds of billions sitting across from her makes an offer:

“Would you pretend to date me for a year? You wouldn’t have to do anything.”

“Young Master Shang is underestimating me.”

“One hundred million after taxes.”

The lighter’s wheel scraped softly. The man tilted his head and lit a cigarette. In the dim glow, his sharply defined profile seemed refined and distinguished, yet nonchalant.

-

For no reason, Ying Yin remembered the first time they met.

It had been pouring rain, and she was in a sorry state. He had his butler give her an umbrella.

As the black canopy tilted upward, she saw the man in profile inside a Maybach with a silver roof, eyes half-closed amid the endless rain.

Even silent, he seemed utterly out of reach.

-

Later on,

everyone thought the eldest young master of the Shang family was always unruffled, strolling through life at his leisure.

Only Ying Yin knew that on New Year’s Eve, he would also arrive in a remote, impoverished mountain village film set, travel-worn, just to catch her and ask with lowered eyes:

“Do you really have to film this kissing scene?”

[Powerful tycoon x actress] Contract relationship, old flames rekindled

“The moon is bright tonight. Let me love you.”

The next novel will be The Heiress Is Still Unassailable Today. Add it to your favorites from my author page.

A second-generation story following A Letter from Hong Kong and Secret Crush Beat.

A flawless heiress who excels at everything x a similarly well-born, cocky and dashing F1 race car driver.

Some say that Shang Junni, heiress to Hong Kong’s foremost family, has been raised to be too beautiful, accomplished, upright, sunny, and emotionally grounded. Her father is a top model of a family patriarch, and her mother is China’s first Grand Slam-winning actress. She is so perfect she’s like an artificial flower, which is why she has no fragrance.

Chen Boye lifted his eyelids and said, “Bullshit.”

Others say that scentless flowers like her are the hardest to pursue. She was born with every attribute maxed out, lacks for nothing, has loving parents and a happy family, and doesn’t even have a childhood trauma!

This time, Chen Boye said, “That’s true.”

The spoiled young men of their circle: ?

You’ve definitely taken a secret hit, man.

Chen Boye had indeed taken a hit. He had even tasted Shang Junni’s lips, but she thought they were just playing house.

Currently writing: 260,000 words and counting. Same type of story, powerful big shot x actress: Far from the Butterflies.

Twenty years after making her debut, Sixth Miss Shen worried that she was losing her looks, her appeal, and her former glory. She decided to launch her cousin’s career instead.

Seventh Miss Shen, Shen Chongfei, had raven-black hair, snow-white skin, and a curvaceous, slender figure. She was as beautiful as a poppy. Sixth Miss Shen meant to use her mortal body to keep her own bloom everlasting.

But she never expected Shen Chongfei to offend the wrong person as soon as she entered the industry.

The day she sent her cousin to the manor halfway up the mountain, the air was damp with mist and dew. Sixth Miss Shen solemnly warned her that Meng Zongtai had a strange temperament, and that Seventh Miss Shen must remember to be gentle and never act on a whim.

When the black Bentley reached the mountaintop, Shen Chongfei met the legendary power broker of Fucheng. Seeing him standing in the mist, her first thought was that he was handsome.

He was handsome and considerate, and when he was in a good mood, he would almost grant any request. Later, when Meng Zongtai’s childhood sweetheart returned to the country, Shen Chongfei learned that she looked like her.

The childhood sweetheart came to visit and told Shen Chongfei, “It’s your good fortune to look a little like me.”

Shen Chongfei thought, That’s true.

She grew more and more outrageous, demanding things from Meng Zongtai, acting capriciously, and getting away with anything thanks to the face that had given her a head start.

Meng Zongtai let her do as she pleased, bored and indifferent. Sometimes, he looked at her as if she were a canary in a cage, her feathers gleaming as her tiny beak occasionally pecked at him. It didn’t hurt; it was almost playful.

Shen Chongfei’s career soared, and she became a bona fide star. Later, at the Best Actress awards ceremony, she tearfully announced into the microphone that she would retire from acting and marry her longtime boyfriend outside the industry.

Meng Zongtai was sitting below the stage. Hearing that she dared to publicly pressure someone into marrying her, he sat with his fingers interlocked and his face expressionless, but his heart pounded wildly.

He was furious, but the movement of his throat gave him away. He would say yes.

Until the next second, when he heard her say a completely unfamiliar name, just like everyone else in the audience.

Meng Zongtai’s blood ran cold.

He remembered that one day Shen Chongfei had brought a young man to him and asked him to find the fellow a job. He’d sent him to be her assistant, giving the two of them twenty-four hours a day together. That day, the young man had stood before him with his eyes downcast, meek as a dog.

Both leads are sexually inexperienced. The male lead is ten years older (20/30). Happy ending.

Theme: Love has nothing to do with money.
