I'm an ordinary, nameless wanderer, a famous survival chef in the galaxy, and a foodie by my own declaration. Ever since I got the Chef Simulator, I haven't gone hungry while drifting through space.
Following the Simulator's instructions, I've eaten the ribs of a beast from another dimension, sliced open the innards of the Flame Beyond the Universe, and drunk mysterious fluids leaking out of memory holes... Basically, whether it's edible or not, if it goes in the pot, it can be eaten.
The Simulator is great in every way, except that redeeming a Taste Experience Card takes a huge number of achievement points. So I made a brilliant decision: write a galactic survival cookbook for people who can't get a proper meal.
And, as a bonus, stockpile a whole lot of Taste Experience Cards for myself.
When my good buddy Boothill heard about it, he came all the way from tens of thousands of light-years away to express his heartfelt concern for my mental health. I was deeply moved, so I treated him to Planet Screwllum's specialty: a sherry-cask-flavored motor oil drink. I also got to farm some achievement points. He said he loved me and that he kept me in his heart.
When my good buddy, the Pure Beauty Knight Argenti, heard about it, he also found time to come by and discuss galactic food culture with me, giving me plenty of inspiration. To show my gratitude, I cooked him a meal of Meme Braised in Pisha Dreamwine on the spot. It also gave me a chance to farm some achievement points. But Argenti is a man of noble character, and said all he needed was for me to acknowledge that the Pure Beauty Goddess Idrila was peerlessly beautiful. What a great guy. He keeps me in his heart.
With my buddies' help, What to Eat While Wandering the Galaxy was successfully published, and I was thrilled. To celebrate, I made them a whole feast.

"What the hell is this? Are you really sure this thing is edible?"
"My dear friend, your cooking is just as creative as ever... But forgive my asking: I have the same question as Mr. Boothill."
"Don't worry, this is the most tender cut of meat from an ancient beast. I've treated it, and it's not very poisonous. It won't kill you... Boothill, I'm glad you love me, but could you please move your gun away from my head?"

Bonus:
Later, I told General Jing Yuan about these experiences. The General was very enthusiastic, but he wouldn't eat my homemade alien-jelly sauce served with Qiong Sang-wood-roasted Chang You liver. How could this be? Was the jelly sauce no longer fresh, or did the General prefer freshly harvested Borisin heart, pan-fried in freshly pressed, all-natural Ambrosial Arbor oil and cooked medium-rare?
...Damn it.
General, I don't recommend being a picky eater, because then I can't farm achievement points. (Pom-Pom sigh.jpg)
* The main story is told in third person.
* This is not serious gourmet fiction.

Theme: People are made of iron, rice is made of steel. You have to eat well to have the strength to live.
